Prinsesa Musang tagged my Dance of Life blog months back.

"What are your make-up essentials?"

I am not the make-up person and soooo you won't find one. But, during occasions... i only bring lip gloss and facial powder. And that's about it.

and if it's really really needed a blush-on and a lipstick would be present.

But ordinary days? Nothing. :)

Egypt: Papyrus Factory

Papyrus Papers - the first paper in the world and is very much associated to Egypt.

Papyrus plants grew almost exclusively in the region of the Nile delta and the dry climate made it possible for papyri to endure, in most cases, for over 2 millenia. The use of papyrus as a writing material goes back to extreme antiquity. The oldest written papyrus known to be in existence is, according to Kenyon (The Paleography of Greek Papyri, Oxford, 1899), an account-sheet belonging to the reign of the Egyptian king Assa, which is conjecturally dated circa 2600 B.C.

Got a chance to see how a papyrus paper is made at one of their factories. They have nice collections of paintings done on a papyrus paper. Kinda expensive though. *oh well*

Pictures aren't allowed daw.. but I managed to get one before they said that. Hehe. *peace*

Diet Blog

The Diet Industry or the Weight Loss Industry is one business that is booming. But, sometimes not everything about this industry would give you the best results.

As a customer you would want to know whether the stuffs they say on TV, magazines or advertisements are really true. Want to know which diet pill, weight loss program, book or device would work for you and helped a lot of people or which ones are popular? Well, I found a website called DietBlogTalk.com. A site which is pretty much dedicated to anyone who consumes any type of diet pill, weight loss program, book or device. They have diet reviews.

They have an open forum for those new consumers to see what those existing clients/customers got to say with different products and services available in the industry. Don't just rely on what the company selling it got to say.... better get their customers to tell you what their product or service has to offer.

Like you - those existing customers wants their "satisfaction" guaranteed and here you would get to find out which diet pill works best or weight loss program achieves the best result.

How does the website work?
They created a system where each consumer posts a comment and classify their posting as Positive, Negative, or Undecided. Since some of the most popular products or programs have hundreds of postings, they have tallied their classifications so that you can see what the general consensus or ‘popular vote’ is. Additionally, Dietblogtalk.com's editors have provided a brief and unbiased summary of each product for your convenience.

Also you are free to add your comments, feedbacks or questions. They don't require you to provide an e-mail address to submit a posting. All postings are reviewed before going live on the site to block any vulgar comments, spam or unnecessary/irrelevant comments.

You can view a list of the top weight loss products or weight loss programs, or diet book or services with a ‘Positive’ customer classification of 75% or higher below.

Have a fun time using DietBlogTalk.com!

Egyptian Museum

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

This museum is home to the most extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities in the world. Of course, it should have the most extensive collection since it's in Egypt for crying out loud.

Established by the Egyptian government in 1835. They exhibit more than 120,000 collections. This is located at Tahrir square, Cairo, Egypt.

It's also the first big museum, I've ever been too. Photographs are not allowed inside, so I can’t show what’s inside the museum.

It contains a lot of coffins (made out of granite, limestone or covered with gold), statues, tables, jewelries, the treasures found from King Tutankhamen's tomb, weapons, instruments, chariots, and other stuffs .

Of course this is where you will see the mummies - they have a Royal Mummy Room and you have to pay for another extra to go inside. We did not get to go inside because almost everyone’s itching to get out of the place - medyo mainit rin ang museum plus everyone’s tired.

This is also where one of the scenes in the blockbuster hit movie "The Mummy" was shot.

Golden Age of Multimedia

I have always wanted to learn more about video production. And, I did venture to that once or twice in our Multimedia Class and another one when a friend of mine asked for help. But, I stopped since I need to focus on what I have at hand. But, one day.. I will go back.

Talking about multimedia and video production.....

I know of this group of people ( Chicago Video Production ) who can produce videos for you. Be it for corporate, training, trade show, recruitment, marketing, sales, tv or promotional video. They can even hire the actors for you!

Richter Studios can shoot the scene in any format from any location. Or, if you already have the footage, but need that special post-production touch to bring out the magic - they can do that as well. They have world class editors and animators who can help you with that. They have an award winning team that can make your video production an attention-grabbing masterpiece!

They don't just deal with videos! Other services they offer are Web and Interactive Production Services.

A lot of their clients usually requests for web version of videos, and so to cater their client's need and the constant demand of those web version of videos, they have extended their services to the World Wide Web. And to make sure that you are really dealing with PROFESSIONALS, here is the proof:

"Richter Studios created the award-winning Pinehurst Virtual Tour, which features over 70 videos, dozens of animations, PDF’s and interactive slide shows - all created in-house by the Richter Studios team."

An All Digital Workflow + World Class Talent = Richter Studios

Go check their website now and look around specially at the portfolios part. :)

Selling Back Your Books

Itching to get those old books out of your house ? I have a couple of books that I would like to dispose of as well. Why not earn money from them? There's a website I found who buys used / old books from readers. Yay.

Sell Back Your Book is an online book shop where you get to sell and buy old / used books. They buy all kinds of new and used books. The process for selling your books to them is as easy as one, two, three.

What you need to do is, simply, enter the ISBN numbers for each book that you want to sell them in the box that is provided in their front page and then press the 'Price Books' button. They would display the price they are willing to pay. If you are OK with the price simply press the 'Add to My Cart' button and you're ready to check out - or even enter more books you want to sell.

You can even Sell TextBooks to them. Textbooks usually loose their value quickly, so you better act now and sell them today. Sell Textbooks and get paid! Just that simple!

and here's more: You can use their FREE prepaid shipping label and they will prepay the shipping! No out-of-pocket cash required to ship them your textbooks or old books!

This is one good service for people who owns a lot of books that they want to dispose of. :)

Great Sphinx of Giza

The Great Sphinx of Giza is a half-human, half-lion Sphinx statue found in Egypt. It is also the largest monolith statue in the world and one of the world's oldest statue.

The Great Sphinx was believed to stand as a guardian of the Giza Plateau, where it faces the rising sun. In the Old Kingdom, it was the focus of solar worship. It's LION form, has long been a symbol associated with the sun in ancient civilizations.

With all it's grandeur in history, nowadays it is facing one of the world's famous franchise - Kentucky Fried Chicken. Yikes. Of all the opponents to face... it's facing a chicken for crying out loud.

new business establishments waited for this day to have their grand opening...

and would it be lucky if the guy would propose today? would the girl really say yes? :)

Tagged by Pepe and Ate Nona and Ate Naomi tagged my Dance of Life blog.

The Rules:
Each person should post the rules first before their lists, then they should write 8 things about themselves, tag and link 8 other people and then let those people know that they had been tagged so they will know what to do....

"8 RANDOM THINGS ABOUT ME"

  1. I am a person who enjoys talking to people with the same "wavelength" as mine. I kind of find it hard to keep a good conversation flowing if the wavelengths don't match. Not that I don't like to talk but it's just a bit hard... if the wavelength's a bit off? you know what I mean?

  2. When it comes to chips I prefer Taquitos, Kornets and Cheese Ring. Any cheese flavored chips will do also.
  3. I love books. This is actually an obvious fact and since this is totally random I am including it here na lang. Check Espresso Break.
  4. Enjoys traveling. But, when it comes to traveling - I enjoy road trips better.
  5. Is curious about other dimensions, angels, and a whole lot of mysterious, enchanting things. I don't talk much about it though. Oh, actually it depends on who I am talking too.
  6. mildly interested in Psychology. is amazed at Avy for having this course. oh and Chaya, for wanting to take it up here.
  7. loves the rain.
  8. enjoys collecting notebooks. Hehe.

Ancient Egyptian Pyramids of Giza

A pyramid is any three-dimensional polyhedron where the faces other than the base are triangular and converge on one point, called the apex.

The base of a pyramid can be any polygon but is typically a square, leading to four non-base faces. - from Wikipedia.

The most famous pyramids are the ones found in Egypt.

There are three pyramids in Giza - there is the Khufu's Pyramid, Khafre's Pyramid and Menkaure Pyramid.

Khufu's Pyramid, is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids bordering what is now Cairo, Egypt and is the only remaining member of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It is believed the pyramid was built as a tomb for Egyptian pharaoh Khufu. The Great Pyramid was the tallest man made structure in the world for over 3,800 years. - from Wikipedia

Khafre's Pyramid, is the second largest and the tomb of Pharoah Khafre. The pyramid has a base length of 215.25 m (707 ft) and originally rises to a height of 143.5 m (471 ft) The Pyramid is made of Limestone blocks(weighing more than 2 tons each). - from Wikipedia

Menkaure's Pyramid, is the smallest among the three pyramids and the tomb of Egyptian Pharaoh Menkaure. It was probably completed that time between the 26th century BC.

I wasn't expecting to be THERE - for real - but there I am standing right in front on one of the Ancient Seven Wonders of the World and the only surviving structure in modern times. Woot.

To A Friend

To our Friend (Emel)

I will miss...
I always cherished
I will always remember..

all those days when we were in high school...
liking the same band....
the same song...
the same TV Shows...
the same anime (and even buying those cards at the market... just to save and share it with each other).
or even liking the same person in a band or in real life....
the same habit (chatting)...

We've been through a lot... yes...

But I guess... something happened... not all of us knew deep within...
Whatever you do...

I wish you to be at peace... wherever you are.

You are Loved.

A Circle

Before I tell you about the second part of our April Tour..

I'll post this tag first:

This was a tag from my good friend Ate Mari

*Circle of Friends*

Anger is only one letter short of danger
If someone betrays you once, it is his fault;
If he betrays you twice, it is your fault.
Great minds discuss ideas;
Average minds discuss events;
Small minds discuss people.
He, who loses money, loses much;
He, who loses a friend, loses much more;
He, who loses faith, loses all.
Beautiful young people are accidents of nature,
But beautiful old people are works of art.
Learn from the mistakes of others
You can’t live long enough to make them all yourself.
Friends, you and me…
You brought another friend…
And then there were 3…
We started our group…
Our circle of friends…
And like that circle…
There is no beginning or end…
Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is mystery.
Today is a gift.

I'm tagging anyone who wants to do this... :)

All the best!

April 2008 Trip I

The trip went well (in fact it was great!).

The first part of the trip was spent on four scheduled Leadership Training in different places to be conducted by my mom.

April 12-13 :

The first one was conducted at Malolos, Bulacan. My mom's training is limited to 30 persons only (and that's already the maximum but on some places it would exceed to 35). But this time at Malolos there were only 12 participants (which makes it easy for mom). Less audience is easier.

I also tried a delicacy from Malolos called Inipit *review some other time*. I also visited the ever famous Barasoain Church. I was supposed to take a picture in front but, a wedding was about to take place and so all my plans of being there went down the drain. Hehe. Give way to the bride. :P

April 15-16:

Our second schedule was set to be in Tandang Sora, Quezon City to be hosted by Mrs. Luzviminda's Service Center.

Basically, this group is a great one, most of the attendees are in their youth and they are way beyond people their age already. (Not a lot of youths attend this kind of training though). They are responsive and they ask a lot of questions (which is actually great because my mom encourages questions and clarifications when she speaks). Very interactive. They are also achievers which makes it a plus. Keep it up guys! :)

April 17-18:

The third schedule was held at Willie Mercado's Service Center over at Zamora Street.

Mrs. Lelel was a great host, she made sure we were doing all right and all that. She even drove us at the hotel when our drive wasn't able to make it. I also admired her three kids helping out with their Service Center. You can see they have a tight family bond.

The group here is great as well. Intellectual and Spiritual and so Mom did not have any trouble and actually finished early because they got it just right.

I also admired Mr. & Mrs. Lauron(Crown Diamonds) who attended mom's training. It's quite rare to see a person EARN MUCH and attend trainings. Most people who earn much and are in a high position don't attend trainings anymore. You can see that Mr. & Mrs. Lauron are green mangoes*

April 19

Supposed to be our rest day but mom made time for some of the Network Leaders who weren't able to attend her trainings. It started by 10am ended at quarter to 4 or something.

April 20

en route to Quezon. We took our time getting to the place. Not much in a hurry. I enjoyed the ride.

April 21-22

The last schedule was held at Aramin Resort in Tayabas, Quezon Province. The bond on this group is very tight. Quezon already had it's first batch, which were the "uplines" of the second batch and they bonded during the two nights talking about a lot of things in life. I enjoyed observing their bond here.

April 23

Before going back to Manila we decided to climb the 300 steps of the "Kamay ni Hesus" grotto. Due to the "coding" in Pasay we delayed our going back to Manila by stopping at different places and taking a different, scenic route. I was able to drop by at Lucban, Quezon (to check out the hats once again... but did not get to buy one.. since I don't know where I would store it. T_T), and Lumban, Laguna (the home of the finest barongs).

All in all it was a fun filled trip full of learning experiences. I learned a lot from different people. It's one of the reasons I decided to stay in the Networking Field. You get to understand people more and more and you meet different people and learn from them and at the same time you got to help them out. You give something, they get something. You get something, they give out something.

*Green Mango - mature independent person, attends trainings. leaves their cup empty, eager to learn. coachable. A green mango stays on the tree. It doesn't fall. It wouldn't rot.
*Yellow Mango - immature independent person, don't attend trainings because their cup is full already. they feel they know EVERYTHING. A yellow mango usually falls from a tree and is left to rot. When you stop learning, you start to rot just like a yellow mango.

Martha's Flowers

http://www.1800flowers.com/marthastewart

There are new Martha Stewart's products over at 1800 flowers and is distributed exclusively. I checked it out and oh how much I wanted to have one of those martha stewart plants they have over there.Of course, these new martha stewart flowers are just so lovely and they come with a unique vase perfectly suited for the flower arrangement. How fitting! They also have a page where they give you tips about finding a perfect vase (since vases are vital to your arrangements because they balance the floral display and as well adds visual interest) for your flower arrangement. Isn't it just nice?

I saw a Martha Stewart Rose and Nerine Bouquet and it sure made me smile a million watts looking at the blend of the two colors (red and pink). If red and pink does not tickle you but it's green that brings the fresh feeling then the Martha Stewart Lotus Pod Bouquet would suit you - it is a symbol of hope and harmony. It also arrives with a ceramic bamboo grove vase.

Since, it's still a graduation week you can choose from various bouquets the perfect set for someone who just graduated. I really like the Martha Stewart Pink Tulip Bouquet in a clear glass vase - it looks so girly.

The Martha Stewart Pastel Gerbera Bouquet also caught my eye. If you don't like the two colors mixed and you prefer to have either pink or the yellow, they could arrange that for you and its called Martha Stewart Buttercream Gerbera Bouquet and Martha Stewart Pale Pink Gerbera Bouquet.

Visit and check out those bouquets that would take your breath away if it materializes physically!

Payment Processing

http://paymentprocessing.cc

Nowadays, almost everything is processed online specially our payments. And, sometimes there is just so much information and something new always comes up when it comes to payment processing. There are probably many a good "informational sites" about payment processing scattered just about anywhere in the world wide web. But, there is something better compared to those informational sites and it is what we call the Payment Processing Forums.

Yes, a forum. A forum is a good medium to seek out help and be updated by what's new whenever it's about payment processing. It has forums about the different internet payment service providers with discussions ranging from: General Payment Processing, E-Gold and E-bullion, Merchant Accounts, Paypal Discussion, Moneybookers, and Bank Accounts and Internet Banking. It also has forums about Electronic Payment Gateways and E-Currencies with the following discussions: Payment Gateways with and Credit Cards each with their own sub-forums. It has forums about Fraud and Chargeback Prevention (and I'm sure that place would have a lot of people who frequents it so as they would get updated) with discussions about Online Fraud, Credit Card Fraud, Fraud Detection and Prevention and Chargeback and Refunds. It also has forums about Business with discussions in Ecommerce, Marketing and Webmasters. They have topics like: What is VCC? What is Payflow? Click Fraud and Marketing Mix Analysis.

Of course they also have forums where you can introduce yourself freely and some free talks that are out of topic ( a forum where you get to know other people who frequent the Payment Processing forum). A forum wouldn't be complete without a "Suggestion and Feedbacks" discussion and so they have it too making it a complete one stop drop about Payment Processing.

So, if you have questions about Payment Processing go and visit their forum to get answers and share knowledge and experience to others.

Diamond Ocean

My mom is into jewelries, specially diamond ones. I found another website that I'm sure mom would really love to browse. When you buy from them they have a different price from it's usual standard market retail price.

They have various Designer Earrings with Diamonds that would bring out the best in your appearance. They have different styles, shapes and weight that would suit you and that would depend on the diamond, gemstone and pearls that is studded in the earring. I checked out one Diamond studded earring that I kinda like it has a 14Kt White Gold, Clarity - I2 and it's Color - H. That's the main specification, but if you want it customized they have a drop down menu that would suit you. Very innovative - huh?

They also have rings for anniversaries, engagement rings, bridal sets, promise rings, wedding bands, eternity rings and eternity bands, gemstone rings, men's ring or bands, fashion rings, right hand rings, journey rings and trilogy rings. I really like this one promise ring, if one buys it in retail it's $1880 but they offer it at a special price for only $441, saving 75%.

They also offer pendants in different categories from cross pendants, alphabet or numeric pendant, heart pendant, solitaire stud pendant, fashion pendant, trilogy pendant, journey pendant, gemstone pendant and men's pendant. This time I browsed their gemstone pendants and I was delighted by the colors that I saw. I like the Pearl and Tourmaline in White Gold Pendant and also the Amethyst and Diamond Pendant.

Of course they have bracelets and bangles for all of you who loves jewelries on wrist. They have tennis bracelets, fashion bracelets, men's bracelets and bangles. I browsed their sizzling collection of fashion bracelets and bangles. I fancied the Gold Fashion bracelet with Hawaiian slippers and the White gold Diamond Fashion Bangle.

They also have different loose diamonds from round, princess, baguettes, tapers, radiant, cushions, marquise, pearl, heart, triangle, lily to oval.

They also have watches, cufflinks and tie pins.

All their products are customizable. *That's cool!* So, you can choose to have on one product having a different metal such as Gold, Silver, Platinum or a diamond specification like it's color and clarity to change and have it customized and one that would suit your budget.

Check the Diamond Ocean Site Now and choose your faves! :)

Teen Chat Rooms

I used to be hooked on chatting before at the mere age of 14. I was pretty much frequenting IRC's but later left the world when all of the people I become used to left as well.

Anyway talking about chatting, I saw a website that caters to teens and they have a teen chat rooms . Their chat rooms are free and you don't have to register or sign up unlike other IRC clients. All you have to do is just type in your nickname and then click the 'Connect' button they have to enter the teen chat rooms.

Here's the chat link: http://www.teensay.co.uk/chat

They have a few rules and regulations to keep the chatroom safe and secure at the same time. You can always mail the administrators if anyone in the chat room is behaving badly.

Aside from the Chat Room, they also have message boards. Message boards with different topics from site updates to getting to know each other's ASL. You can also get into debates because they have a thread for that or talk about the latest news. Of course talking about relationships wouldn't disappear in every thread. And various hobbies from music to books to movies and shopping they are very well present too. Work and Education wouldn't go amiss because they are included in the package and don't forget gadgets and technology. Teen Say pretty much has it all in one message board.

They also have flash games, teen advices, music, movies and celebrity gossips.

It's an all-in-one online community for teens! Go check it out now!

Replace it

A tag from Sis Francince and LivingSoul

Rule #1

Copy all the links below and replace a single link under the appropriate alphabet. If your domain name, or even the title of your blog, starts with an “A,” you’d replace the link under that alphabet and put the replaced link at the bottom. Also, don’t forget to credit the tagger, or where you got the list from, at the end of the list with a full URL of the post so that a pingback gets generated.

1. A. angelblush.blogspot.com
2. B. bloggingcents.com

3. C. chocmintgirl.blogspot.com

4. D. delusionsofgrandeur.com

5. E. enjoyingtheride-jenn.blogspot.com

26. Z. zbudapest.com

Replaced link: acowboyswife.com
Previous tagger: macheriefrancine.com and marcroger

Rule #2

You now have to “tag” at least five people and encourage them to participate so that this thing spreads like a virus. Remember, though, that not everyone’s into these kinds of things, so don’t be upset if they don’t participate. Just simply replace your tag. Remember to tag blogs only and no pornographic ones as we do want to keep the integrity as a blogging community. TIP: Tag your frequent EntreCard droppers via its messaging system.

I’m tagging:

Ate Ghee, Weng, Pretty Life Online, and Meiyah.

Rule #3

Just like any other “meme” out there, ask a question for your taggees to answer along with your own answer to your previous question. This is optional.

AJ's Western Wear Outfitters

http://www.westernshirts.com

Do you have a thing for cowboy boots and western hats?

Western Wear is one type of clothing that would never go out of style.

There's a website just for you that lets you choose from a variety of western wear, western shirts or clothing for men, ladies and even kids.

You can check out that website - Aj's Western Wear Outfitters.

Their line of western clothing includes but is not limited to embroidered western snap & denim shirts, cowboy shirts, western shirts and vintage western shirts. They also do matching western styles for men, women and kids which is great if you want to attend a party that requires you to wear matching outifts, or if you just want to have them and wear them for fun.

The specialty of Aj's Western Wear Outfitters is found in designing. They personalize your western clothing according to your barn, horse or etc. One good thing about them is that they brand or pretty much well known as monogram your shirts for free! Wow! That's good service!

They also have available women sleepwear for ladies like moi! They also have impressive looking jackets and vest for the ranch or if you want to wear it out in your favorite country western bar.
Also, I like the collection of rhinestone belts they have and some of them are with swarovski's and turquoise. I really like the Purple and Pink Embossed Belt, it's like it's really screaming my name for me to buy!

If you are a lady who has a thing for bags, your collection won't be complete without choosing one of these cowboy women handbags. They use top pf the line leather and faux leather that would appeal to the cowgirl in you. I particulary like the Waywest Western Buckle Handbag Series. They also have this cute western wallets.

Very nice collection and lots of stuffs to choose from!

Red Cross

Kuya Denz just had a dream last Monday. He said he dreamed of seeing our car (sorrento) with a Red Cross at the back.

And just like some peculiar event, a dream and it is suddenly real we spent two days in and out of two hospitals.

Feb.13: We went to visit our relative who gave birth to a not-fully-developed child who died after childbirth. It was the daughter-in-law of my Mom's Aunt who sent her to school and so we owe as much to her and right now they need all the support they can get. With us, was my Aunt Emee, Uncle Boy and Ate Precious, my nurse cousin who took a 3day leave and just in time to help out. It's amazing how God plans the support team and everything is done with smooth perfection.

We also visited a relative who stayed one month in the hospital and was in a motorcyle accident.

It was Heart's Day. And early in the morning I rushed out to go to the hospital and assist our relative whose child just died. The Red Cross at our car's back was prolly meant for the dead child, because the child was placed there when the body was released.

Later in the night we also visited our cute cousin Luis at Mission Hospital. He was also confined there last night because he kept vomiting whenever he gets to eat something. I think they were released yesterday.

and so I guess that just summed up my birthday and Valentine's.

Have a great Weekend!

A Question

There are so many questions in life that needs to be answered and so many "why's?" and "what if's?". But, we often disregard those questions all because we feared questioning or we feared the answers themselves.

I don't like to ask "Why?". It's something I got from school. Asking somehow makes someone look dumb. Asking, means you did not make your homework. I know, I know we don't all think that "asking" is dumb. In fact my mom always reminds me that "If you question a lot of things, you get many answers. Maraming tanong, Maraming alam". But, you see during those times I couldn't get the drift. I learned to just sit still and listen to the teacher drone on and on about History, Science, Math, Religion, you name all the subjects.

But, of course there is a point in your life where you get to undo those habits. And that habit of just sitting back and not to question about anything that involves life are one of those habits.

All questions have their own answers. And no one question are unanswered. "But those answers are not constant", Einstein would say to you. Just like "humans", Answers have a tendency to change as we go along.

And so, if you have a question always "ASK" and never dismiss it like I used to do. Ask. Ask. Ask like a kid. The answers may not come right away. The answers might come to different forms, like a book you are reading, a line from the movie you just watched, a friend you bumped into, a billboard sign, and even from nature itself.

"Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves." - Rainer Maria Rilke.

Wait. Live your questions. Then ask. Be open to the changes that the answers would bring forth. Answers to our questions will come. It won't always come from one person, because no one person has all the answers.

Remember: The only stupid question is the one you don't ask.

Ask and it shall be given, Seek and you shall find, Knock and it shall be opened.
