The Great Sphinx of Giza is a half-human, half-lion Sphinx statue foun
d in Egypt. It is also the largest monolith statue in the world and one of the world's oldest statue.
The Great Sphinx was believed to stand as a guardian of the Giza Plateau, where it faces the rising sun. In the Old Kingdom, it was the focus of solar worship. It's LION form, has long been a symbol associated with the sun in ancient civilizations.
With all it's grandeur in history, nowadays it is facing one of the world's famous franchise - Kentucky Fried Chicken. Yikes. Of all the opponents to face... it's facing a chicken for crying out loud.
