Salumay Busay Adventure

Last thursday(April 5, 2007) we headed to Salumay to spend a night there. Salumay is an hour and 30 minute drive away from Davao. Located at the border of Davao and Bukidnon. Salumay is a few minutes away from Epol Waterfalls and it is before Seagull Beach Resort. The Globe satellite is just near and so if you are a Globe subscriber you won't be fretting about the signal (I heard Globe has a signal in Mount Apo as well).

Salumay is planned to be developed and be claimed as Mindanao's Summer Capital. It is cold there... somewhat like Baguio.



We stayed at Salumay Busay resort. They have limited rooms and so you have to call, in advance and book yourselves a room which costs 750 a night. They have a huge ground for tennis/badminton and at night , you can also pitch a tent. I don't know how much the overnight stay while pitching the tent on the ground would cost.

I went with the rest of the family, when I say the-rest-of-the-family, it would mean 8-10 families).

They called it Salumay Busay Resort for nothing....

It has a cold spring!

Busay is Spring in english. Salumay if you translate it into english would be "Diving In"... and how fitting! The place has lots of cold spring waiting to be discovered and to be dived in.




Gosh.. when you step in the water.. it is freezing and would make your teeth chatter in seconds.



The pool is small but it's deep. Maybe 8 feet ? 9 ? I'm not sure. All I know is that it is deep.

The greatest challenge I faced during our stay at the Busay was jumping.

I'm not afraid of heights, I am mortified with the depth of the water. Me, knowing how deep it would be created a turmoil.

I'm usually a daredevil when I was young.. but as I aged away(woot parang matanda na talaga) from challenges and all those fear-factor-adventure.... it's welling up on me... and now faced with this challenge.. argghh! But, I know I have to do it... just that... you know...


The first one who jumped from the four(Ate kai, Abigail, Darlene and Me) of us was Ate Kai (left pic).

Saying... in her jump...... that "It-is-ok" and "Everything's alright.

She swims.. so it wasn't hard for her. I don't swim. I have a couple of those I-almost-drowned experience and one drowning incident when I was 6 or 7.

The second one was Abigail. No problem for her because she swims as well. :P



I was the third person to jump.


I decided to jump if the salbabida would be just beyond my reach (although, it's just near for crying out loud but just in case..).

It took me a long time to jump... but I did.. with sheer horror and the feeling of having and wanting it to be over.

It was really a nothing-jump compared to my jump when I was 16 at Darong River which really literally made me experience the for-a-moment-everything-was-still and my heart-stopped...and it was a long jump.

This jump... is a short one. You'd reach the water before you can say Gone-with-the-wind. And, I wasn't lying when I said sheer horror because I was dreading it. And.. if you look closely, the pic I posted is also embarassing. It showed me in my oh-im-sooo-terrified state.





The last one to jump was my sister Darlene. Hehe. Funny pose noh ? :P The jump made her touch the bottom and sit. Like her, she was also terrified out of her mind.

But, we are planning to experience more of those fear-factor stuffs this summer. We should. Hehe. :)

Our day at Salumay was not all let's-jump-and-dive-in. We also baby sat for two kids... who would exhilarate you...

Ahhh.. the joys and frustrations of Aiah and Empire.... Joy when they smile.... frustrated when they cry hehe.. but thats part of being a kid.....

But we had fun chasing them around while they chase chickens and butterflies.

Another good thing when you are at Salumay are the butterflies, dragonflies and flowers. You would see black and bloody-red colored butterflies - a not so common color... the red and white with almost transparent black wing of another butterfly, a black and yellow butterfly... and other lovely variations. Also with the dragonflies... they are big and they have vibrant colors. Sooo pleasing to the eye.

Flowers are abundant in this part. You would squeal in delight when you chanced upon them only if you love flowers.

If you want to just stay for a day there are cottages which costs for Php 75 only. You can organize a retreat over here.... and rent a 2-story building for only 3,000.00 :)

All in all... it was fun and a great experience. The sissiness (if there is such a word, and yes my dictionary says no) of my jump, chasing kids and butterflies, cooking at dawn for everyone... and the twisting and turning because it's just too cold to sleep... was all worth it. :)

Ive searched about this certain question in the meme.. some believes:

• it is a book you want to memorize: if that's the case it would have to be The Bible. You see there are a lot of ageless wisdom in the book, that I want to keep in mind forever and also when other people talk about a certain character in the Bible, I can relate. There are a lot of sayings that's been going around in the family like, being a Melchizedek (one that tries to be the middleperson), having your Isaac(Isaac would mean the sacrifice), being Judas (traitor) and the likes..
• which book do you want to be [saved] ? : Ive seen some meme's adding "saved" at the end.. sooo.. if that's the case it would have to be rawrrr.. I can't think of ONE book to save.. I want to save each and every book in the world!!!
  

I think the second question makes sense, because I read what Fahrenheit451 (unfortunately, I haven't read it yet) is all about. It's about a fireman whose task was to burn books and houses that hold them and persecute who owns them. Basically it's about an era where books are not allowed (sounds like Equilibrium; the banning of emotions). Sounds interesting.

Uhmm.. *me thinks* I guess so. Haha. When I was like in fourth grade till H.S. I was pretty much fond of reading Sweet Valley books and I somehow got attached with the characters over there... and basically liking a few guy characters. Hehe.

*me thinks* If you count me coercing my mom to buy me the Angels & Demons and the Alchemist last January... or the time when my mom treated me and my siblings at National Bookstore and pick all the books we like... till the fat lady sings (unfortunately we only had 45 minutes to go look for books we like that time).

I don't think any book would make a difference if I've read those earlier... because you have to basically consider the fact whether you could actually understand it if you read it before or you are aware with what you are reading...

Ive read the Alchemist 2-3 years ago before and basically it did not have a HUGE impact on me when I decided to re-read it again this year....

I believe these books(specially self-help) have come to me at the right time and when the reader is ready... the book will arrive. Muwahaha. (Just like when the student is ready, the teacher will arrive)

If I have to borrow maybe it's those HP books, but everyone's possessive with their HP books.. no one wants to lend me those. Hah. You wait. I'll buy all seven when I get the $.

He wrote General's Daughter the one made into a movie... amazing!
2. Follow the Stars Home by LuAnne Rice - Lovely, heartwarming book. Ever since... Ive scoured bookstores for her novels. Lovely paperback designs as well.
3. Fortune is a Woman by Elizabeth Adler - nice nice book. love it. (still searching for books written by her)
   
4. Games of the Hangman by Victor O`Reilly - Great book!!! Very thrilling. (still searching for books written by Victor. )

I really want to join the Mount Apo Hike this year... but I guess it's not yet time. Hayyy... some of the family will go climb starting tomorrow!! T_T Next year... I will.. I should!!!

I'll be leaving for Salumay tomorrow. One of the coldest part daw here in Davao... Im not sure if its really part of the city or something....

We will be staying there for a night. Be back by Friday night I guess. :)

Summer's Here!

Summer's Here! Haha. (As if I am soo into summer!) One good thing about this summer is.. I have no summer class. Zilch. Nada. Hah.

To all those blogger friends of mine who alerted me about "the-layout-glitch", thank you! :) If, it weren't for you guys.. I wouldn't have known. I guess the previous layout went gaga when you viewed it in IE or something. (I'm using Mozilla -_-)

Just so I could feel the "summer wave", I poured out a freshhh new summer look. A bit pinky and orange-y... yes. ( Sorry, to all pink-and-orange haters. Hehe)

Five(5) Natural Emotions - Finale

You've read and totally come to understand the Five Natural Emotions I have shared from a book I've read. But these things are not new, everyone knows this. We just need a lil reminder now and then - (from your responses/comments I have come to realize many things).

We've all come to realize in short that these natural emotions when repressed produces unnatural emotions. Any emotion that causes harm to other people or anything that might bring you harm is unnatural. Most natural emotions have been repressed, we have been taught to repress them.

But, we must all remember that these natural emotions are our friends, our tools, the gifts with which to shape our experience. We should embrace them, and learn how to use them to our advantage without hurting anyone along the way.

Yet, all human actions comes down to two(2) emotions. All human actions are based or motivated at their deepest level by two emotions - love and fear.

All human actions creeds, bleeds into two key concerns - LOVE and FEAR.

The two are the opposite ends of this world of relativity. Every human thought and action, is based in either love or fear. All decisions affecting education, poverty, politics, nations, war, peace, terrorism, and environment, - all choices involving every subject in this world - every single choice we make arises either out of love or fear.

Let us learn how to make choices using love and not of fear. For fear-based actions causes unnatural reactions while love-based actions causes natural responses - and oh joy!.

I want to elaborate more... but I guess I'm running out of words to fully explain everything that's inside. But I know, somehow you're getting what I'm trying to say. :)

I saved the best for last!

LOVE.

The BEST NATURAL EMOTION WE HAVE.

When you were allowed to express and receive it, without conditions or limitations, without embarrasement or inhibition, it does not REQUIRE anything more. When as a child you were made to believe that having love is not okay, that to express it is wrong - you will have a very difficult time dealing with love when you grow up.

Yet LOVE which has been conditioned, limited, controlled, manipulated, and withheld becomes unnatural. Love repressed becomes possesiveness a very unnatural emotion.

Love is meant to be UNLIMITED, FREE and ETERNAL. True love means no "obligations" for it is always FREE... an obligation cannot exist in the space of love. See to it, that your decision of love is not a PROMISE made once but as a CHOICE made over and over... and resentment will never come.

Love should be UNCONDITIONAL.

This would mean loving everyone regardless of what they believe in, regardless of what they do. You give love freely.... no-matter-what.

If we deny love that is given to us, if we refuse to give love because we fear pain or loss, then our lives will be empty, our loss greater. - Author Unknown

You do not forsake and ignore someone because he/she have wronged you.... When you say "I LOVE YOU", fret not if you will not hear it back. And if you hear it back, DO NOT WORRY THAT YOU WOULD LOSE IT.

When you TRULY LOVE.... it is FOREVER. It never goes away... nor does it fades... you simply LOVE. Love is the energy that allows us to EXPAND, to OPEN UP, to SHARE, to CARE, and to HEAL.

This UNCONDITIONAL LOVE understands.... This UNCONDITIONAL LOVE conquers everything.

This love recognizes the beauty of everything.. This is the natural expression and response we have that REQUIRES NOTHING and DOES NOT EXPECT ANY OUTCOME.

You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection. - Buddha

But remember before you can love the people around you... you must learn to LOVE YOURSELF. Because, how can you say you love other people if you do not even love yourself ? It is like helping someone who does not want to be help himself/herself in the first place anyway.

Much has been said about LOVE already.... and of course we all have different experiences and HAVE SOOO MUCH to share about this. (even me.. I have soo much in my mind and heart that I want to impart but then... I guess not now.)

Five(5) Natural Emotions - Fear

Fear is a natural emotion. All babies are born with only two fears: one, is the fear of falling, and the other one is the fear of loud noises.

The rest of the fears are LEARNED responses from ENVIRONMENT or taught by parents (like the fear of ghosts and etc... )

The purpose of this "natural fear" is to give us CAUTION. Caution in whatever we are doing. That whatever we do there are consequences. This is the practice of "caution". This a tool that helps keep our body alive.

Fear is a defensive advantage. Fear serves like a motivation to escape to safety.

Just like the other three emotions I have so far mentioned, kids who were not allowed to express what they fear would have a hard time dealing with it. Kids who were allowed to express their fears will have a healthy outlook towards fear.

We all need fear because it gets our adrenaline going... but too much fear paralyzes us like a rabbit caught in a car's headlights.

"Fear protects us from danger. If people do not feel fear, they are a danger to themselves" - Ritva Laaksonen, a neuropsychologist and psychotherapist at the KL Institute, a psychotherapy training centre

Fear that is continually repressed and is excessive becomes PANIC.. and panic is a very unnatural emotion.

Panic have caused other people to kill other people. Wars have started because of this. Decisions have been made because of this. Nations have fallen as well because of Panic.

The solution for excessive fear is to keep your mind busy with what has to be done and not to what might happen.

BE REMINDED: That too much fear is not good, and living in fear would not help you live the life the way you want it to be. Fear is just this instant or innate reaction we have that advices and reminds us to be cautious in our actions and be aware with it's consequences.

Never allow your fear to grow bigger. It blocks everything, and might motivate you to take actions that would harm you. :)

Five(5) Natural Emotions - Envy

You read the title right. Envy is the third natural emotion.

Oh puhleaseee... read everything in context.

Natural envy is the feeling of desire to have something that someone has. This is when you desire to be like someone, or have something that a certain person has. This is like a five-year-old kid wishing he could ride the bike like his brother could or a teenager wanting to drive a car.

This is the natural emotion that makes you want to do it again; to try harder; to continue striving until you get what you want. It is very healthy to be envious, and it is just natural. It is human nature.

Just like grief and anger when you are taught as a child that it is ok to be envious in a healthy way, and you were allowed to express it, in your adult life, it is easy to move quickly from envy and you will have a healthy attitude towards it. But, if you were taught as a child that envy is not okay, and it is wrong to experience or express it, you will have a hard time dealing with envy when you grow old.

I know, while reading this you might be thinking... "What? Envy ? A natural emotion?". "It is just right to express it? and then teach the children to be envious?"

According to Schoeck from his book Envy: A Theory of Social Behaviour: "Envy is not wholly negative."

It is what drives us to do more, and it is just like admiring what others have achieved and wanting to achieve it yourself as well.

Basically, we all do feel envious about something one way or another. Show me a person who never wished to have something the other person has. Have you ever wished to be just like the actor/actress you do so admire? Have you ever wished to do something what other people have done like bungee jumping or go sky diving ?

Too much ENVY and ENVY repressed would lead to JEALOUSY. Jealousy is a veryyyy UNNATURAL emotion.

People have killed other people (like lovers in conflict) because of jealousy. Wars have started (just like Helen of Troy) because of this.

I think Envy is one of the 7 deadly sins in the Catholic tradition.

But, I hope you don't get me wrong here.. what I am talking about is the positive side of "envy". The "enough" envy that would drive you to where you want to be, but not the excess which would lead to jealousy. ( It's all too tricky, and I guess I can't express it wholly to you just here) I am talking about the envy that leads you or motivates you to be a better person and not cause other people harm. I hope we are clear on that.

Before you read this: Read the 1st Grief.

The second(2nd) natural emotion is - Anger.

Yes, anger is a natural emotion.

Anger does not have to be abusive, and it should never be damaging to one another. This is a natural response whenever you do not like something, like reading articles that you find about racism or someone being abused. It is when you feel upset about someone to whom you felt you've been wronged.

When as a child you have been taught to express anger, when you grow up you experience a very healthy attitude towards anger and then you move through your anger very quickly.

When as a child you have been taught that it is wrong to be angry, it is not okay - it is wrong to express it, and you should not even experience it - when you grow up you will have a difficult time to move from your anger.

Anger repressed can poison a relationship as surely as the cruelest words. -Dr. Joyce Brothers.

Anger that is continually repressed becomes RAGE. Rage is an unnatural emotion.

People who fly into a rage always make a bad landing. ~Will Rogers

Because of rage many people have killed other people, many people brought about damage to other people and wars have started because of this.

There are actually different levels of anger.

The level or type of anger I'm talking about is the one that you express right out that you are angry and then get over it quickly. This type of anger does not last long. This anger I'm talking about is the natural emotion you feel, the instant response you have over something you do not like.

It's also different when you are "being angry over someone for so long" or resentment. Like whenever you see that person you suddenly have the urge to "harm" or even wish him/her "harm". Now, that's not natural. It just seems like that person has control over you.

Just want to make it clear that there are certain levels of anger. One type or level of anger that you feel instantly and then get over it quickly by expressing it without doing any harm to another person. Another anger is the one that boils deep inside causing you or might cause you to harm another person and thus harm and bring about a very unnatural feeling which might lead to rage.

What should I do?

Anger will never disappear so long as thoughts of resentment are cherished in the mind. Anger will disappear just as soon as thoughts of resentment are forgotten. -Buddha

Go express what you feel in a good way. Remember, you can always approach anger in two different ways. Anger has two sides. One, with the negative approach and the other the positive approach.

Never ever hold a grudge or resent anyone for too long. It is not healthy.

For children (what do I know? ha? Im not a parent but I'm basing it on experience and... basically in the views of a "child" because I was "child" once.)

• Ask your child how he/she feels.
• If the child says she is mad or angry about something or someone, don't tell him/her it is wrong to feel angry. Just tell him/her it's ok to be angry.... but not to the point of hurting other people.
• If the child punched another child because of his/her anger maybe it is better to explain to a child that it's ok to be angry but you must never ever hurt other people in the process. Of course, in a very nice way. Kids listen. I don't think scolding works when you are trying to explain something to a child.
  
• A child listen to "sweet-nice-talks".
  

These are just my views. I know in your experience you have other "good ways" in handling anger and it might be very great to share them as well. :)

Five(5) Natural Emotions - Grief

Before, everything else I would like to greet Tay Ernie a Happy Birthday! :)

Anyway, I will share to you the works of Dr. Elisabeth Kubler Ross who teaches people about the five natural emotions.

Despite the countless emotions going around that made us feel this-way-and-that-way, there are only 5 which are natural.

I will share to you the first and then the next day would be the second and so on and so on.

Grief is a natural emotion. This is the very part of us that allows us to say goodbye whenever we don't want to say goodbye. This is a very natural response to death, separation or loss of a beloved one or a thing.

When one is allowed to express one's grief, one gets rid of it very quickly. Those children who were allowed to cry over losing a toy or being separated from a parent, or those children who were allowed to be sad whenever they feel sad they will feel very healthy about sadness when they grow up, and they usually move through sadness very quickly. They "get over" their sadness right away.

On the other hand, if as a child you were always told to "Hush! Don't cry!", "stop crying..." when you grow up you will have a hard time crying as an adult. (I've met a few people who were like this and you can basically tell whether they were allowed or not to express what they feel when they were young.) Those children who were taught not to cry over "small" things and have been told all their life not to cry will have a hard time moving through sadness. So they usually repress their grief.

Grief that is continually repressed becomes a chronic depression, a very unnatural emotion.

People have tried to kill themselves(suicide) and have killed other people because of chronic depression.

What should I do?

Never ever repress your feeling over losing someone or something. If you felt a need to cry... go cry. If you need to feel sad... be sad. If that's how you feel at the moment, you express it. You don't need to mask your feelings and hide it from anybody.

They say music therapy is good as well. You might as well try it.

I'm not a doctor or anything of the sort, but I don't believe in using "medicines" such as anti-depressants to be effective. It may be at first but in the long run it would have side-effects.

Basically, we all have to go through sadness "naturally" without the use of medicines that manipulates what you feel as of the moment.

And once, you've poured it all out.... all will be well.

Remember, grief is a natural emotion.

We all experience grief..... and we experience it naturally.... and go through it....

Swarmed

The "7oth Araw ng Dabaw" went really well and was practically safe despite the "bomb threats", what with all the 1,500 police and military personnel who were deployed and fielded to various comvergence in Davao City . Surely, it would be another one of those "safe-moments". You would see military/police officials in every corner and certain random check-ups everywhere.

The City Parade was pretty much eventful. The organizers made it like a diorama, they wanted to ensure that the Davaoenos would be educated of the Davao's rich history as well as entertained.

The weather was great(compared to last year's rainy parade), it was gloomy at first but the sky brightened up by 9am.

Since, we are nearing the election .... the organizers have warned that the parade and the rest of the highlights of the Araw ng Dabaw 2007 celebration would not be open for the politicians to campaign.

"What are you really driving at Tina? Enough ad-libs already."

But despite the warning, the festivity was swarmed with politicians and politician-wanna-be's like R.G. who actually wore his campaign red and blue shirt that shouts G_ _ _ . Just fill in the blanks. It was soooo obviousssss!!!! Really. And, there were politicians who never attended previous Davao festivals but they were there just to be seen. Sheeeeeshhhh. -_-

I'm sure Mayor Duterte was not pleased when they showed up. But, he was actually fair when he was interviewed.

"I cannot prevent anybody from greeting us, from greeting the people of Davao City," he said. "This is a free country and this is not an exclusive exercise for the city where we can bar anybody from joining the stage."

But... but... it was sooo obvious. They were there for the campaign... to show-off their faces. They had their own personal agendas as to why they would attend it.

Soo... to the next city who will have their own celebrations/festivals before the elections be prepared for a politician's smiling i-wanna-lure-you-into-voting-me face.

Davao Blogger's Party 1

We made history!

That's what they said last night when we attended the first ever Davao Blogger's Party. It was the first blogger's party organized outside Metro Manila.

When Jona and I arrived at NetFront Cafe (it's the newest internet cafe/coffee shop in the city), we saw Avy, Pearl, Red and Ced outside. It took us a couple of minutes before actually deciding to go inside. You see, we were the "shy bunch". Nyahaha. Anyway, we mustered up the courage... actually it was Red who went inside first.

Before, we went inside we got the chance to finally meet up with Bam. Hellooo Bam! It was soo nice meeting you there and finally hearing you chatter. :P Legendary, it's what Avy would call it. Really. Really. Nice meeting you there. Thanks for helping us out at the Google-lympics.

We met Mr.Blogie, Mr. Dominique, Mr. Jun , Ria and a whole lot more. People from Bisaya Bloggers were there as well. Most of them are aquainted with each other, already and most of them are a friendly bunch.

What I enjoyed most were the presentations, because I learned a lot. It was actually worth the blogger's time because they gave out tips about how to make maney just by blogging and more.

Mr. Blogie presented the DavaoBlogs. Ms. Aileen Apolo the Google Representative of Philippines was there and everyone got the chance to ask her about "Google Adsense/Adwords". She talked about Web Marketing. Mr. Abe from Yugatech, presented the Blogging Best Practices and Ms. Janette Toral of Digital Filipino, presented the Digital Filipino Club.

So, you see aside from the "socializing" and the "getting-to-know-you's" we were there to learn from each other as well. It was a fun night, although I was sooo silent most of the time. Hehe.

Before they ended the party we had the "Google-lympics" which actually took up most of the time but gave others, those who did not participate the chance to be aquainted with each other.

Bam and Mr. Dominique of VillageIdiotSavant won the most-wanted shirt from Google, while Pearl and I both got the Stiks and Stones game from Google.

I'm sorry no pictures. I'm soo lola, forgetting the camera. Rawr. Anyway, I'll be scouring other blogs for the pictures they will upload. Hehe. :)

Araw ng Dabaw (Davao) 2007

Thanks for all the "Get well" wishes. I'm fine, better than last Saturday. Hehe. Maybe my body just want me to rest. Hehe.

I was browsing some news headline about a certain website that the PNP in Davao had. Soooo, me and my curiosity checked it out, it's at http://www.davaocitypolice.com.

If you are a Davao resident who wants to report a crime or provide the authorities with information but wants to stay anonymous you can simply log on to the site and fill out the online citizen complaint form.

Aside from that the directory for the different police station in Davao can be seen, along with the operating units of Davao City Police Office, the gallery of the most wanted people in the Philippines, and the most wanted of Davao as well, some crime prevention tips, police news and other information involving DCPO.

The site could also be very much vulnerable to pranks. DCPO Superintendent Jaime Morante warned the pranksters, that if they are caught filing false information to the police they will be exposed and charged criminally just like what Mayor Rodrigo Duterte did to 911 prank callers.

I am in exile using mom's laptop and not my pc. Our(means me and my sister's because we share a room) room is being fixed because some rawr-mites munched on my cabinet and my sister's as well, and so my uncle would have to do the make-over.

Hard Landing Book Review at Espresso Break WP.

Movies and Chips

It's supposed to be a marathon but then they arrived kinda late and I guess last night most of them had A LONG NIGHT so we watched only 2 movies. Renel, June, Avy, Kath, Jesel and I watched One Missed Call 3 and The Covenant. Screaming our heads off with the scary/funny-movie. Scary and funny is what happens when a movie attempts to be scary and your friends would laugh it all off making jokes and a lil scream here and there when the phone rings with a message that says "Death excemption by forwarding". And as usual like all Japanese horror movies it's confusing and you'd know all about why-this-why-that in the end (but it's still confusing).

Nothing would beat the movie "The Eye Infinity". We were expecting it would be scary but it was funny in a good way. Nyahaha. Really. You better watch it... but don't expect it will be that good but for me at that time it was funny... and whenever I remember it, it makes me laugh and I'd share to all the people around me why.

There really comes a time for happiness and so for dark days. One cannot experience happiness without having to experience a time for sadness. Whatever it is there will be dark days for the light to shine through... and we all need to go through it in order to appreciate the joy, peace, and the light. There are mountains to climb and rivers to cross... the process is hard but with all that's happening.... glory would be fleeting in the end.

There are some experiences that brings us to some places where we do not want to be and we just have to remember its all part of the process. We all have our shares of disappointments, sadness, and you name it.

There are things that are unsettling, questions unanswered. In every why.. there is an answer.. we just need to look around... see the signs. There are things that don't work... there are signs that tells you why it doesn't.

There are actions we took that brings us to results that we do not want.... but we must endure it for we caused it. We do not need to blame... we just need to be responsible. We all need to accept everything and be responsible and from there start to live life the way we want it.

Things happen for a reason.... and ALL THINGS work together for GOOD even if what you see are all bad and there seems to be no hope. Don't let your candle flicker and go out in these moments of darkness.... but let it shine..

Along the way there are people who stayed and accepted us for who we are despite all the flaws.. they see the perfection. We must not fail to recognize, cherish, appreciate for what they contributed and shared.

Today, Im thanking one of them..one of the "kindered spirits" of my life... you know who you are. :) You are special, great as well as treasured. Thanks for everything.

And in every lifelong journey.. let us cherish the good times and never forget them.... never ignore the bad times(but never dwell on it)... learn from our actions.... and make the rest of our lives wonderful as we want it to be.

Weird Reading Habits

1. Whenever I am reading a novel I usually have 3 notebooks beside me, a pocket dictionary/thesaurus(which comes in handy when I'm reading classic books) and a pen. One notebook are for the words/places/things that I just encountered while reading the book along with their meanings. Second notebook are for the sayings I like and it usually includes what book it came from, and who said who. Third notebook are for the funny/sarcastic lines, and conversations.
2. I have two big dictionaries which I started to read from A to Z before. Then I found notebooks... lots of them here at home. Which gave me an idea to segregate the interesting people, mythological characters, Bible characters, foreign languages, characters of Shakespeare's plays, Arthurian legend characters and many more into different notebooks writing them down one by one... but I did not get to finish it....
3. If I share a story(from a book I've read) to someone and then someone happened to be eavesdropping people would think it's a movie.
4. I love to read about Science and History before. I've read the 21 or 22 books of Childcraft and another series(just like Childcraft) i forgot but its all about Science.. from cover to cover when I was a lil girl maybe that's where Ive started to crave for books..
5. This is not a habit but it's a fact: Once, my mom threatened to burn all my SV books cause I read too much love/spy stories and not those business books she had. Nyahaha. (But now, mom is pretty much cool with it. In fact she would surprise me with a few books Ive been ranting about like when she bought me the Da Vinci Code, and Memoirs of a Geisha to stop me from babbling about it.. nyahaha)
6. I have a notebook full of TRIVIAs and FACTS.

I'm running out of Weird Reading Habitss sooo.....here are my random "weird" habits.


7. Whenever I watch 24, I pause/stop it once in awhile to write all their conversations.
8. I can't sleep with only one pillow. I need two or more. But two can be just fine.
   
9. I use the blanket but I leave my feet in open air... unless I'm scared.
   
10. I don't wear make-up. But I have a couple of make-up that were given to me and that my mom trades it for bag or shoes. Nyahaha. Actually at the picture below you would see the lipsticks my mom wanted to have.. nyahahaha
