Something Political

I don't know anything about politics, I don't know how it works. I don't know the truth from the lies, because I was never there, wasn't in politics and never done any. I always shy away from any conversation related to that unless an election is drawing near.

The only time I get hyped up talking about politics is when people talk about Mayor Duterte. or the Duterte's for that matter.

So, yeah the election is drawing near...

And, I'm surprised when I ask most people I know, they are still at the twilight zone of who their President would be. Or they'd give me: Noynoy, there's a Gibo, there's Gordon, other people would smirk about Villar (but the jingle is really something that could make your eyes roll), there's also a taxi driver who would vote for Erap.

No one in the political world is ever clean. Ever. In politics, you roll up your sleeves to clean up the mess and you get your hands dirty. Others are smart, they make other people do it. They let someone like Jack Bauer to clean up the mess. Ok, that sounds 24-ish na. My point is, everyone in the political world is somewhat marred. If you wanna work with the system, you have to mesh yourself with it... and you uncover a lot of things you'd rather not encounter. But, it's a matter of working yourself in it.... and well yeah, ending up acting: "for the good of the people". I knew of a few good people who ran for the office but ended up quitting because they can't stand the lies. But, it's all a matter of balance. There are well-meaning people in the government, there are those whose principles are firm, and who still keeps their word. And you would see those people bringing about results.

As I've said once at a friendster blogpost that Truth and Politics cannot mix. So, no one would ever know what's the truth or the real deal anyway. Because, if you search for the truth you'd come up with a web of lies. What they do out there is, they lie to the people and if they lie long enough they'd end up believing those lies and it ends up becoming the truth. So, who knows?

I, like everyone else is on a limbo about my President.

I once opted for Noynoy because his running for President wasn't something he planned anyway. There wasn't any strategy involved. It wasn't strategy when President Cory Aquino died. So, i found it was a bit divine. People asked him to run after the late President Cory Aquino died, and it was amazing how Mar Roxas put on hold his eye as being President and settled for Vice President. Although, i'm sure they have things on their sleeves na because they are in it already.

Then, I later found out Noynoy and Gibo were cousins and I got hold of some "80's Conspiracy Theories involving Marcos and the Aquino's".

Then, I saw Gordon... and even wanted him to win until I talked to some political analysts who told me Gordon wasn't "winnable". They say: "If we vote for Gordon, chances are Villar might win... blabber this and blabber that.." and they all opted for Noynoy as the lesser evil.

and there's Nicanor Perlas who is not so publicized but well worth considering. I just browsed his website. He is divorced but so, what the hell? (You'd know below, why those things wouldn't matter.)

I for one, don't want Villar to win. I don't want to add any more fuel to fire because it's already big and everyone knows what a big fat liar dot dot dot dot.....

And then, I said to myself maybe I should wait for whomever Mayor Rodrigo Duterte will endorse.

A few nights before Duterte announced his President, I dreamt he was supporting: Noynoy. And, I was amazed just this week when I learned he was indeed supporting Noynoy.

But, until now... I still don't have a President.

Anyway... I found something online (I actually encountered this questionnaire in a seminar) and I think most of you will recognize this:

descending into hell

tear stained cheeks and blood shot eyes. for no apparent reason at all. (it's been like this during random nights). her heart is breaking.... and she doesn't know why. she's confused.

confused. confused. confused.

confused, is what she is. she even wanted to beat her head or bang it against the wall for feeling like this. but, her other self... just allowed her. just allowed her to pour all those pain out in one brief moment. she couldn't believe the rush of emotion pushing through her.

she'd stop herself at the comfort room. at the shower or even when she's about to lie down.

the recent scene was the pink tiled comfort room. she checked her blackjack for the time. it took her 9 minutes. 3 minutes to cry and 6 minutes in between to calm herself and dry her eyes.

she sobbed. she can't bawl, cause she might attract attention.

it's like there's this dull ache in her chest. and while crying, she found herself asking: "Why? Why? Why do I feel like this?"

she's racking her brain and feeling her heart whether this was about the recent loss she had. and now she feels her brain was deliberately trying to confuse itself.

is this a chip on her shoulder? but, it's crazy because he is the last thing on her mind. and she's not even thinking about him anymore. she couldn't even imagine him in the future.

is it a mask? is she not over the situation yet? it's been a month of Sundays. she's not hearing his name. and the gods were all in her favor and besides she does not want to beat a dead horse.

or is it because she's losing her way? or she's trying to find it? what? what is her heart telling her?

or is she starting to feel a growing concern for someone? and all these familiar feelings are starting to surface.

or maybe she's just growing? like some spiritual detox where all the dark areas of herself gets sucked up to the surface in order to be released? a bit like colonics minus the literal shit. what is it?

it's like the time of her life where she's feeling... this journey is not fun. its too sad, too frightening, too heavy, too lonely, too hopeless.

when the gods gave the map for this journey, part of that journey is to go through the dark night of the soul.

is this her dark night of the soul, the winter of her discontent ? Should it be like what Mother Teresa in one of her famous quotes said: "I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love."?

that you just keep bleeding (and yes, remember that song). God, that sure sounds so EMO. *beats herself for talking like this. this is not her. everyone who knows her.. would be shocked* nothing short of romantic. its EMO and its unhealthy if she drones on and on about being EMO.

she's about fairy tales and happy endings. not crossroads and lonely highways. she's about the light and not the shadow. she's the angel and not the devil's advocate.

but then, maybe she's more of like Alanis' song..

"im a bitch, im a lover, im a child, im a mother, im a sinner, im a saint, i do not feel ashamed. im your hell, im your dream, im nothing in between."

Have you Ever?

have you ever had those moments when you want to lash out at someone you love but you know very well enough that its not gonna hurt the person because it is you writhing in pain?

and that the anger for that one person is like you drinking the poison expecting the other person to suffer but it ends up burning you?

have you ever wanted to say so many things to someone, because that someone never allowed you to say your own piece? Mentally, you say those would-have-been nice movie lines because you knew for sure that was how you felt and that you needed that person who caused it to hear that.


have you ever felt the frustration to hate someone you love but you know very well it is all a mind game because deep down inside you were happy and that at one moment in time... you were sure... you LOVED?

have you ever felt wanting to play the victim but deep down inside you knew for sure that you are a victim no more?

and because of that... you immerse yourself with all those Korean melodrama on TV and hide your pain....

have you ever wished that one day you would meet someone who is as handsome and charming as Yi Jeoung, with the surprising persistent sweetness with a rough edge of Jun Pyo, the courage of Woo Bin, and the loyal devotion and utmost care of Ji Hoo?

this is just my shadow saying its piece... i am beyond this... but i am letting shadow take over for just one moment. for just one moment.

Surf, Sand, Fire and Party

Hi guys!

This year, I had one of the best birthday (every year.. it's always BEST for me!). I was out of town, with my childhood friends whom I considered as real brothers and sisters. We went out for Maranatha's debut.

We took off early in the morning, and my sister and I got around to helping the "decorators" of the venue who happened to be my childhood friends. Everyone (including us) was a bit groogy, because we all slept late or didn't sleep at all the night before since we all have to do last minute stuffs. (I was the one in charge for our surprise video presentation).

It was all crazy, really... we finished late with the decoration because we thought there were locals who would help us with the decoration, but no help came and if there was ever one... they came in late na rin. And we went to the party with no make up at all because there was only one bathroom and the party was about to start. The venue and the accommodation of the guests is like a 5-8 minutes ride.

Anyway, despite all that.... it was arguably FUN! The debutante was the star of the night... unlike the usual (princessy debut which I had), it was fairly-like and of course hawaiian. She was the only one who was allowed to wear white. One thing I enjoyed was the "fire dance" and the hawaiian dance by the debutante and her mother at the last part. :)

that was February 13.... and it was also my birthday...

I told everyone to forget my birthday and give the day to Maranatha. And everyone was pretty accommodating. But, when the party ended and the debutante was entertaining the rest of her guests at Botona where we were all housed, everyone sang a "happy birthday" to me. *how sweet of them*

That night, was one of the best nights because I saw the diamond glittered star-filled sky. It was like a blanket of stars and I was barefoot with the sound of the waves and the wind howling at the background and the air was it's usual refreshing self. *swoons* Could this get any better? Too bad, I don't have pictures of the star-filled blanket of a sky.... it will forever be in my mind though. -_- *i have simple delights! just gimme nature.. and id be beaming with joy*

That night, we were good girls and boys... all we had was cake and coke. Bread breaking, eh? The modern way. Haha. :)

We just talked underneath the sky and with the sound of the waves lulling us to sleep. We slept around 3 in the morning like sardines because of the limited rooms.

There was like 13 of us in the room. It was crazy. :)

Some of us woke up around 5-6am to scout for the surfer dudes to give us surfing lessons. And came the best "Valentine's everrrrrr". We talked to the guys from "Amihan sa Dahican". They were a nice lot. Too bad, I wasn't able to try the surfing.. I had the tide. Get my drift, please. The beach was bare save, for us. Perfect for beginners to surf. :)

I fell in love watching them surf. It made me want to go back to Dahican.

It was a good memory... and yes... I can't wait to go back to Dahican... I discovered a lovely place 3 hours away from Davao... =)

S-tress? Not a problem.

Recently, i gave a talk to graduating students of Accountancy at University of Mindanao. I was invited by my cousin Jane to talk about "Stress Management". I am in the spa industry and that's one of our main thing in the industry.

It was a great experience and it's quiet challenging to get their attention. One, i'm not far their age.. so it could be just like a case of... "we know what you know." and they could be rolling their eyes. I stammered during the first few minutes and I was laughing about it because I was currently under stress. Haha.

But, with a few humor here and there I got their attention and I was at ease. It was my first time to come up with a "Stress Management" module. I got an outline online and added a few things here and there from my experience.

Psychologists would say we all need stress.... but, my spiritual gurus say... we can always choose not to create stress in our life. So, I just gave the college students the basics... it's hard enough to manage stress what more eliminating it in your life?

Although, its not exactly THAT hard to eliminate stress.. but with the programs we have... it's gonna be mighty challenging. :)

The following are my steps to managing stress..... although I know everyone knows about this.... but we might all be needing a lil review noh? :)

1.) Find a Support - a friend, mentor, minister, councilor.... to talk to. :)

2.) Get organized - arrange the clutter in your room or work area to think clearly.

3.) Take breaks, give yourself "me" time - get at least 10-15 minute break to power nap, or listen to soothing songs in your mp3 players or ipod, take a walk, anything to give you a break mentally..

4.) Take good care of yourself - eat properly, get a good rest... allow yourself to do something you enjoy each day... :) sometimes, when we feel stressed we tend to do the opposite. Hydrate yourself... :)

5.) Get regular exercise - blow off the steam and release it through excercise. This will relieve some symptoms of depression and stress. But, don't overdo it! Too much of something is bad... 45 mins. to an hour a day would be great! :)

6.) Get a hobby, do something different - add some spice in your life and do something you haven't done yet that you sure would enjoy. sign up for dance lessons, or voice lessons. Go to that film making class or photography class...

7.) Slow Down - the journey is the destination.. relax.... don't live in a hurry, curry life.... enjoy the moment. stop, and smell the coffee....

8.) Laugh, use humor - watch funny movies, be with your friends who makes you laugh, surround yourself with laughter... but a bit of advice... don't laugh at anybody's expense. if you must, laugh about yourself... it is strength beyond measure.

9.) Keeping a Diary - or a BLOG! hehe. I'm sure to some.. blogging is part of their stress management program (its part of mine!). :) Veryyy effective. It keeps me sane.. and it helps me live in the moment and cherish what happened in the past... :)

10.) Learn to relax - Get a massage!!! Go to our spa (Angel of Water Wellness Center) haha. or the nearest spa near you.... :) Do visualization techniques... deep breathing.... relax.. relax... use your different sense: touch, taste, smell, sight and sound.

for touch: get a massage, get a warm bath, go for a swim, change into comfy clothes...

for taste: eat a comforting meal, eat healthy food, sip your choice of herbal tea, drink fine wine with friends not Red Horse , ok ?? :)

for smell: smell lavender or chamomile, don on your favorite perfume or scent, shop for flowers, breathe the fresh air, light a scented candle..

for sight: watch a funny movie, read a good book, watch the clouds, watch the horizon...

for sound: listen to calm, classical music or something instrumental (it's good for your brain waves), sing to yourself, say positive affirmations for yourself, play your favorite musical instrument... if you know how to. hehe. or ask someone to play it for you. Ji Hoo from BOF would come in handy.. haha. :)

I guess that's about it. I'm sure... there are lots and lots of ways to manage stress...

Dragons and Castles

last year it was one of the best years i've had...

i got what i always longed for... gaining a heart's desire is what i've always wanted...

to immerse myself to someone

but then just before the year ended...

I ended something i wished would last forever... but sometimes you just gotta go with the flow. he once told me: "only dead fishes swim with the currents"...

i was kind of taken aback when he said that. meaning, if i go with the flow... would that mean, i am dead?

only in the worldly mundane view could it be true...

about dead fishes swimming with the currents...

but, maybe he is not seeing the big picture...

because, if you see the big picture... there's no use resisting the flow if it goes from East to West right?

"the only time you feel alive is when you go against the flow.. trust me." his words.. resounded in my head. though it sounds so exciting, the prospect of being alive - i mean.. it just does not add up to what i believe in.

i frowned. trying to understand. and then it hit me.

and then i realized we came from two different programs, two different worlds...

he is somewhat so accustomed to his ways, his own rules that he doesn't fit mine.

then i realized we don't share the same values, ideals and aspirations...

there is love... but sometimes... the light of your love is painful for someone who wants to remain in darkness...

and so just like oil and water.... we will separate....

and i know..

this year... is going to be one of the best...

this year... is going to reap a million or more...

this year... i am devoting myself to LOVE more than ever before...

this year... i delight myself in the eyes of my one lover who never abandoned me... who stayed through it all... His Spirit Lives.

this year... i am spending more time with the people who supported me... who saw through me... who gave me courage..... Mom, Dad, Darlene, Paolo, Ate Ariane, Yhe, Abigail, Nay Judith, Doc Andre.. for all those mini sessions we had separately...

and for the couples who inspire me with their love... and never lacked the support...

Kuya Jong and Ate Pat, Kuya Jundi and Ate Mar, Sol and Ate Kai, Cris and Ate Jill, Kuya Carlo and Ate Ivy,

though the prince i hoped who could save me never really made it.(he did not make it through the dragon's initiation. Remember, only the initiated can go through the castle gates and make his way to the tower, if he is armed with the sword of truth and the shield of courage. the other prince dropped his along the way).. i know another one is on his way.... because i heard.. when love is not there.. it may be on it's way.

and so if you are expecting a visitor.. what do you do?

you prepare....

This movie is based on a book written by Anne Brashares. Four best friends(Lena, Brash, Tibby and Carmen) spends their summer for the first time, away from each other. Before they part ways to different places for the summer, they found a magical pair of jeans that fits all of them perfectly event though they have various shapes and size. They made an agreement to share the pants the whole summer with each other and to keep in touch and write something wonderful that happened along with it because they believe it's magic.

What the four best friends had - is one DREAM FRIENDSHIP for every girl out there. Their bond is sooo good and you can see they accept each other unconditionally. Like sisters born in different families. This movie is all about their one summer where they are apart for the first time. It's a heartwarming coming of age story (and it can make you cry and laugh).... and the chemistry of the four young actresses were good and that's what makes this movie pretty special.

I also like the lines they came up with... because there's truth in it.

A Beautiful Scar

Rebecca sailed through childhood with a minimum of fuss, the usual scrapes, few illnesses and wonderful academics. Michael didn't sail. He skipped, ran, hopped, rolled, teetered and bounced. The only things he liked about school were recess, lunch and sports.
Mike loved to climb trees, the higher the better. Afraid of scaring him and causing him to fall, I have calmly talked him down, while my heart was in my throat and my knees felt like jelly. No scolding, spanking, or any other punishment kept him from climbing. (No, spanking wasn't illegal in those days.)

When Michael was fourteen, his dad bought him a Honda dirt bike, a purchase that caused me to consider divorce or murder. I had always stated that a motorcycle would take up residence on my property over my dead body. It was inconceivable that one of those deathtraps was going to carry my son all over the countryside - and with his father's approval!
Somehow, the boy survived. He grew up, married a beautiful, dark-eyed young woman, and fathered two children, a son and a daughter. Michael became a partner in his dad's business, a dangerous occupation that he grew to love: select cutting of timber. Safety measures are stressed above all else; and most of the time, Michael follows them. Shortcuts, no pun intended, are deadly in the timber. Two things especially are not done: "You never cut down trees alone" and "you cut smart and don't try to outrun a falling tree."

One day Michael did both. The tree splintered, snapped and the trunk flew upwards, striking Michael's head. He remembers being airborne. When he regained consciousness, he was draped across the trunk, one hand still on the running chainsaw, wedged beneath the tree. He freed his hand, but it took three attempts before he could stand up without passing out again. His hardhat saved his life, but I've always wondered if his hard head wasn't also a major factor...that and his guardian angel.

One day I received a call from my son in the middle of an afternoon, a rare occurrence. "Mom, I don't want to scare you, but I'm in trouble. There's something wrong with my heart. Joyce made me go to the doctor, and he's sending me to the ER. He told me I might not live to get there." Mike's heart had developed an irregular beat so severe that the doctors were afraid that he would go into cardiac arrest. A heart cath showed no damage, and medicines are controlling the irregularity, for which we are all very grateful.

Don't ever ask, "What next, Lord?" For years I have fussed at my children and four grandchildren about their laxness in using sunscreen. Most of them get periodic sunburns, sometimes waiting to see me until the redness has faded. They know that I'm going to react with frustration and impatience. I often told Michael that he wouldn't look very pretty without a nose.

That remark came back to haunt me. Mike's sweet wife finally convinced him to see a dermatologist about a small place beside his nose that bled every time he washed his face. I was convinced that the biopsy would reveal skin cancer, but I wasn't prepared for the report.
"Mom, I got gypped again," Mike told me on the phone. I chuckled a bit.
"You have skin cancer, don't you? Don't worry, Honey. Doctors can take it right off." There was a long pause before Mike answered.
"Mom, it's melanoma," he said. I felt as if someone had driven a fist into my stomach. I couldn't breathe. Oh Dear Lord! I cried silently. Melanoma kills people! Our families have already lost so much this year! My daughter-in-law's young brother and grandmother and Mike's grandmother all died within the year! Mike is already dealing with a heart problem! Enough, Lord!

The next few weeks were filled with alternating states of fear and hope and faith. Additional biopsies showed that the cancer filled a larger area than first thought, but the doctors were hopeful and encouraging. They felt confident that all of the cancer could be removed and that there was very little possibility that it had spread anywhere else in his body. Their main concern was the reconstructive process, since such a large area would have to be removed near his nose, even a small part of his nostril.

The surgery was successful; and for many days Mike had to wear a bandage in the middle of his face. After it was removed, there was a red, swollen area that wasn't very pretty; but it improved daily. I didn't care what it looked like. I was just happy that the cancer had not invaded a vital organ.

The other day, for the millionth time, I looked at my handsome son. With my eyes, I traced the fine line that runs from just below his eye to the curve of his nostril. The surgeons did a remarkable job repairing his face. I told Mike that his scar is a war wound, a badge of honor, regardless of how it looks, and that it adds character to a too-handsome face. He thought about that for a minute before he replied, "Huh! You're right. It is a war wound!"
I've learned that nothing hurts us more than watching our children hurt, regardless of how old they are. I've learned that faith isn't faith until it's tested, and I've learned that we don't know whether we really have it until we need it. We can walk away victorious in battle, but we often carry scars to prove the victory.

The remnant of cancer on Michael's face is a line about the width of two strands of thread, a fine scar...a beautiful scar. It is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen, and I thank God for it, daily. It's a constant reminder of how fragile we are, a reminder that we are simply made of flesh and bone, held together with skin. Michael's scar is a token of mercy, grace, and healing, things I don't want to take for granted, ever again.

Found an enormous, beautiful cook book online, where we can get to read the full story of the meteoric rise of Heston Blumenthal and The Fat Duck, the birthplace of snail porridge and bacon-and-egg ice cream, and then we can encounter the passion, perfection and weird science behind the man and the restaurant.

Heston Blumenthal is widely acknowledged to be a genius, and he is the owner of The Fat Duck (a Three-Michelin starred restaurant)and was voted as the Best Restaurant in the UK by the Good Food Guide 2007 and 2009, and voted as Best Restaurant in the World by fellow chefs in 2005.

But Heston Blumenthal is entirely self-taught, and the story of his restaurant, The Fat Duck has broken every rule in the book. He is also the proponent for modern cooking and opened his own research and development kitchen in 2004.

The Big Fat Duck Cookbook is a 532 page cookbook written mostly by Blumenthal. It contains an introduction by Harold McGee, incredible colour photographs all over, and also illustrations by Dave McKean, multiple ribbons, real cloth binding and a gorgeous slip case.

I hope for good! I've been missing the whole blog world.... I've been out of touch from here ever since last year.....

I know.. bloggers come and go.... and I wish to visit all the links and say "hello". Dapat one of these days... within the month.

To recap about what is currently making me busy are the following:

• Angel of Water Wellness Center - running the wellness center with the help of my mom.. since I can't make do on my own as of the moment but that's my goal. Marketing it... and by golly the only thing I haven't tried is posting a tv ad which costs $$$$.
  
• Then there's another production number for an upcoming Regional Sales Assembly.....
• then there's the seminar of Dr. Andre San Agustin... I've been facilitating for months already...... but it's a great learning experience...
• and then there's me and the cheesy part of me. (finding love...planning a future. hehe.)
• and a whole lot more.

I have been experiencing an exciting life.... and i've been practicing what I've been reading.... and that's why I stopped sharing things that does not involve my life.... since I can only share my own experience to the world... to let everybody know... that one can always grow through JOY, not just through pain and suffering. :)

I am offering another path.... for you to tread. It may or may not be yours... but you can take one step and see what your inner authority tells you.... :)

Remember... there are many paths to the mountaintop....

Loving 2009

It was a magical 2008. I spent my time celebrating ME... Every moment, I have chosen to always feel wonderful with ME.

and with that... I thank God - to whom I felt I have grown closer this year because I spent more time listening with the voice deep within me. A God... I see... who is very loving and was always around when I felt like there's nobody I feel safe to talk too. Whenever, I go crazy or distressed over things that often confuses me... He was always around like a light in the dark.. piercing my heart with love and melting all the worries away. To A God, a friend and a lover. Yes, a lover. My heart's bursting from all the love I never thought was possible. Yes, God. You sure showed me it's possible to experience an enchanted love. I thought, it happens to a select few only.... but you gave me a chance to experience it too - and in this world. And I know this year... I am experiencing it fully. 2008 was just the beginning.

I thank all the people who were endlessly patient with me, and who loved me unconditionally. THANK YOU, dear friends - this goes to everybody who visits my blog.... and to all those who supported me*murag Oscar's awardee*.. (you bring joy whenever I see messages from you guys). Thank you. Thank you. My endless gratitude to you guys for just BEING THERE.

2008 was a magical year. I felt sparks and saw glitters by the middle of the year. By, November another angel arrived... and another angel *that makes 2* who was a perfect gift for us.

The second angel brought everybody closer and I found what I have always yearned for - "friends.sisters who would listen to everything about me... with no judgment". Our relationship brought us to that point and I feel soooo safe with them.


This year, is LOVING 2009. If it was ME last year... I am choosing to have a WE this year. Spent a lot of time meditating about this.... although I need more time to meditate on the WE part. Haha. Ok. I know you might be lost in this post now...

Back on Track

and I'm back!

sooo many things to share... and everything's happening soooo FAST..... and im savoring every moment because I'm sure I can't go back from everything bright and wonderful that's occurring right now.

and yes... I've heard about the ongoing recession and how it's affecting us.. but can't you guys see the light side of it all?? It's a good time to start anew and re assess everything about YOURSELF and how you handle issues about "money". Now, where did that come from?

Egypt: Papyrus Factory

Egyptian Museum

This museum is home to the most extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities in the world. Of course, it should have the most extensive collection since it's in Egypt for crying out loud.

Established by the Egyptian government in 1835. They exhibit more than 120,000 collections. This is located at Tahrir square, Cairo, Egypt.

It's also the first big museum, I've ever been too. Photographs are not allowed inside, so I can’t show what’s inside the museum.

It contains a lot of coffins (made out of granite, limestone or covered with gold), statues, tables, jewelries, the treasures found from King Tutankhamen's tomb, weapons, instruments, chariots, and other stuffs .

Of course this is where you will see the mummies - they have a Royal Mummy Room and you have to pay for another extra to go inside. We did not get to go inside because almost everyone’s itching to get out of the place - medyo mainit rin ang museum plus everyone’s tired.

This is also where one of the scenes in the blockbuster hit movie "The Mummy" was shot.
