Catching Up

It's so good to catch up with friends once in awhile. Everyone's so busy after graduation(and that includes me!), doing this and that and we rarely meet. But, I'm so glad we got to catch up with each other awhile ago.

We had our meeting for our yearbook. Our scheduled pictorial was in conflict with one of my mom's training, but I'll rig this one up.

We ate at Krua Thai because we were starving. We had a bit of trouble when it came down to ordering because we were used to single orders or rice meals but nevertheless we tried delicacies that looks yum. I thought Krua Thai's not that good because the one in SM was something I did not like, but this branch is YUM. But, what I like about the restaurant was the "Halo Halo". It's big and cheap - only 75 pesos. It has two ice cream scoops. Yay!

Road Show - Push, Drive, Explode

The return of the come back! wooo...

Thank you for all the graduation greetings.. thank you pam for -> THIS.

Ate Ann hit it right with her comment that says "Congrats! San ka pupunta? Out of town again?".

As soon as I graduated I hopped on a plane the next day (October 16) and left Davao for 23 days! gooseneck! The longest time me and my mom were away with the whole family. But, it's all for a good cause. :)

I missed a lot of things while I was away. I missed to attend the Road Show that was conducted here in Davao which I wanted sooo much to attend since we will present our production number last October 18. But I had to choose in serving (lovingly) my mom and be her Personal Assistant(Alalay wahaha) while we are in Luzon specifically the South.

I missed the Birthday of my business partner/great friend/blogger Ate Jireh last October 17 but at least I got to celebrate her birthday bash which I will recount one of these days last October 13.

I missed the Blogger's Summit last October 27!!!! One of the biggest events in the blogging society this year! Booooo! I apologize for not being there.... I was really hoping I can come back right away. T_T.

I missed Giovanne's birthday last October 31. Yes, It's Halloween. I also missed my plans to sell our product wearing my uber-outrageous-butterfly costume, just for laughs. I wonder if I could do it next year... Hehe.

I missed Ate Disay and Avy's birthday last November 6, 2007. I was monitoring their birthday... and when 6 came by... I forgot it was November 6.. for crying out loud. And I did not get to greet the two of them ON TIME. Pretty close pa naman sila to me..... SORRRY AVYYYY!!! I really really owe you big time! Kaon na lang ta pizza haaaa??????

For things I missed there is of course a "seed of equivalent benefit"....

We went to Lucena City from the airport to prepare for the two(2) day training. :)

I enjoyed the crowd here. :)

By October 19... we had the first ever Diamond Convention held at Trader's Hotel. It also seemed like a whole day event. This was coordinated by the EDC.

October 20 was our 8th Anniversary and we held it at Cuneta Astrodome. :)

The Alabang crowd is a different crowd but nevertheless their responses to my mom's training were all good.

I guess different places calls for different people... and so Laguna was a different batch altogether. I enjoyed their company by the way...

The males in the Cavite Group are more dominant than the female. This group has less questions compared to Lucena, Laguna and Alabang.

Miss Honey said my mom's presentation in Batangas is her favorite.

The last two(2) trainings Masinag and Cainta was not part of the schedule but nevertheless my mom accepted it because she was requested.

My mom took a long time to lay down all the details in Masinag since the group is pretty not used to "responding" during trainings. She was having a hard time getting answers from them because they don't respond. In the end, they were at least able to let their feelings out.

If my mom had a hard time in Masinag, Cainta on the other hand was pretty easy. This group is basically aware and their comprehension is fast and they respond whenever they are asked.

All in all I met different people and I have seen the "I-am-alive-ill-live-it-this-way" look from them after the trainings. They all inspire me.... to reach out and help people get what they want. I gave a short speech by the end of the session in Lucena (because they asked me.. cant refuse them), Laguna (I was asked by Miss Honey.. cant refuse once again), Masinag (my mom asked me... how can i refuse?) and in Cainta (because the group asked me too).

I am enjoying what I am doing now, because i get to HELP PEOPLE who WANTS TO HELP THEMSELVES. In the trainings, you rarely find people who don't want to be helped because my mom's training has limited slots and so you have "to fight your way in" and those who attended were not forced but are willing. It's better that way than forcing someone to join a training.

---------------------------------------

I missed all your blogs!! Super! So I'll be blog hopping in a few while.

Happy Birthday to Dwinny - November 8, 2007. You are now 21. Be happy always and follow your dreams...... have the courage. :)

HAPPY BLOGGING!

Winter Season

I called it a "winter" because it feels so cold. It's not exactly the weather but it's concerning an event that happened. I thought it only happens in movies or even to books I'm reading. I thought it wasn't real.... but it is.

Until now, I can't believe it. A night of bliss ended up into a nightmare. On our local T.V. they called it "joyride". A ride they took to a place where they can feel the "cold" weather. Cold and dark that is.

People deem an accident as an accident. But, it isn't. I always say everything happens for a reason. Along the way.. choices were made. It's like a "choosing-your-own-adventure" book. If you know the book you'd know what I mean. Life is a place where you get to choose your own adventure and each choices have different results that would lead to different choices with different results and so on and so on. Each choice has a result that may mold you or ruin you.

The incident marked everyone who knew them how fragile life can be. And that sometimes you made a choice that would lead you to where you are right now.

But no one's to blame. They went up to have fun. We are all responsible for our actions. What's done is done. Some would say it was a cruel fate.... and why two of our classmates who were good friends.... who never had an enemy for that matter... and from testimonials brought about good memories...

But then..... we just have to remember that Death is not permanent. Death is just a transition to one world to another. You die physically, but your spirit lives forever. If that's the case it wasn't necessarily cruel.

I still have more in my mind that I want to say... but everything's crammed up as of now... maybe one day.

*A tribute to two of my friends... Cedrick and Lee.*

Ocean's Drowning

Random: Don't mind the title. It's not true.

It's me.

I'm drowning!

Drowning in a sea of sale books. Hehe.

It's the 65th anniversary of National Bookstore that's why their hard bound books are on sale for Php65.00. But, I reckon they were all second-hand books, but it doesn't matter it's in good condition plus it has a plastic cover (one thing book sales don't have). I convinced my parents to buy them since, it's so rare to find those books for only 65. Once we were outside NBS, I took my dad to a Book Sale and made him glance at the second-hand books they are selling and the price ranges from 150 - 500. Yes, 500!!! Grabe. Second-hand? 500? Mhmmph. I even saw my favorite author there and it's hard-bound but it's very expensive... it was for 400+. I can buy lots of books with that amount, so I ignored it.

I'm sure there are still lots of 65php hard-bound books in SM NBS. Try checking it out it's beside their magazine rack and they have other books displayed at the entertainment plaza too. Well, at least the last time I checked. I'm not sure if Gaisano NBS have the same promo.

-----------------

I really want to see Ocean's Thirteen because of Matt Damon, George Clooney, and Brad Pitt. Muwahaha. We were supposed to watch it last week but everyone's busy. I hope it's still around tomorrow and we can watch it together with Dad like we did with Ocean's Twelve. I do hope Mom would join us this time, she prefers shopping over movies and if you force her, she'd sleep inside!! Hehe. Hey, wait ......It's Father's Day tomorrow right? I wonder what I'd cook up for Dad... maybe a tribute for him?

---------------------

I need to have my own goal book. The farthest I have done... was having it online. I know it helps to have my goals online (and a lot have come to pass because of it), but it's totally different to have a goal book. I have my clear book already and it's waiting. I just need to make it!!!!

-------------------------

Instead of the usual every other WEEK exam our school made it "one exam per month". Now, that's new... but I guess I won't enjoy that much, I'm graduating... D-U-H.

------------------------

Sorry, I just can't come up with anything clear and constructed.... Oh well.

Have a great weekend!

Career?

Yesterday, there was this Career Caravan at UIC Bajada. We thought it was some kind of a seminar or something but when we arrived hosts from "Kuyaw" a local variety show here in Davao were there and it really did look like it was a variety show and not some seminar.

It turned out that those hosts are supposed to entertain the audience while waiting for "Tito Boboy" to arrive. Honestly, I don't know who "Tito Boboy" (Augusto Boboy Syjuco) was until I saw the mini book they were giving away to the people who were there. It was my first time to hear about him. I even thought it was "Buboy" from the APO Hiking Society. Hehe.

The book given away was "Salabat for the Filipino Soul" which is like "Chicken Soup for the Soul" right? But, the content is different since some of them has jokes before moving forward to a much serious story. (Actually, I did not read everything just yet. Just browsed some of them and laughed at the korny jokes inside.)

Deflate - the plates, Defrag - the frog, Devastation - the bus station.. those kind of jokes.

Oh and yeah the funny REAL NAME of SHOPS.. like

  • Bote Nga Sa Yo (Used Bottle Shop)
  • Candies be Love? (Candy Shop)
  • Common Cents Store (Sari-Sari Store)
  • CrispyPer Minute (Crispy Pata Eatery)
  • Curl up and Dye (Beauty Salon)
  • Dear Hunter (Mail Order Brides)
  • Goldirocks (Gravel and Sand Shop)
  • Juice Co. (Fruit Juice Stand)
  • Mane Attraction (Beauty parlor)
  • Mat & Jeep (Jeep Accessories Shop)
  • Meating Place (Meat Shop)
  • Meatropolis (Meat Shop)
  • Nacho Fast (Nachos to go)
  • Passers Buy (Convenience Store)
  • Saudia Hairlines (Beauty Salon)
  • Scissors Palace (Barber shop which would sound like Caesar's Palace)
  • Susan's Roses (Flower Shop)
  • The Way We Wear (Boutique)
  • Your Best Vet (Veterinary Clinic)
Which reminds me of a certain Barber Shop here in Davao named "Harry Cutter". Where else can you see these names but here in the Philippines. LOL

Oh well, Tito Boboy arrived like 3 pm and he arrived like a politician campaigning. Shaking hands, Beso Beso here and there. You can't help but think he might go and ran for office... or maybe promote someone's party which I would guess would be Pres. GMA's party. Oh well, whatever... we did not finish it since it's already 4pm and some of us still have the thesis defense the next day. We left early.

It's the thesis defense of my classmates (June, Avy, Renel, Giovanne, Pearl, Red, Bordz, Jhunnel, Cedrick, Franco and the rest of the gang). Be blessed guys!! YOU CAN DO IT. :)

Highlands.

It was our foundation day, and our school arranged a "party" at a clubhouse in Robinson's Highlands. I arrived with Jona, Jesel and Jhonnel. Feeling like an outcast because they are all J's and I'm a K.

It was just a get together thing. Not exactly fun, really. The usual faculty dance was there and everyone made fun of their teachers whom they don't like... or just made fun because they wanted too or they just look funny. After the dance their jaws hurt from laughing and they complained about it, and I think I heard someone say it was a good thing at least it was an exercise. The Accounting Class had their presentation (which I am supposed to join but managed to get away). It was some sort of a drama not bad for a 2-day practice. Michael's dance group well.. danced. It was good. They were all good, specially Millette. I don't know how to spell her name.

The food was uhmm like something you'd get from a karenderya. Sorry. But, it was just not good.. specially when we found out something I dare not mention at all. o_O It is utterly shocking and uhmmm eekie, yuckie, mickiee.

They showed the pictures from previous ICST events....

Like the Valentine's Party at AJ's disco-bar something I did not attend because as you well all know I'm such a baby and was never allowed to stay out late. (But, i bet this was the party everyone enjoyed...)

The First Foundation Party at Kuya Ed's and was not even held at the main restaurant but at the back which was frustrating because everything was just.. soo.. never mind. June, Giovanne, Pearl and I made our interpretative dance for the opening prayer which was choreographed by Vanessa.

The Christmas Party I also failed to attend cause I was out. Which I figured was ok since the food I heard was not GOOD as usual.

They showed our past works in our Multimedia class...

The advertisement about the cake and the "mag-sandal ka na lang". I will post them here once I get the video.

Their own music video with the song Narda by Kamikazee. That video was hilarious.. I will post it in youtube as well when I get the copy.

Seems like I did not had fun.. but it was fun because my friends were there and just made everything look funny.. giving light to the situation. Parties should be well organized specially if it happens once a year, you know.

First year - Acquaintance party, Culmination Night, Christmas Party, and a Valentine's Party.
Second Year - Culmination Night, Foundation Party and a Christmas Party
Third Year - Christmas Party and Foundation Party

You see how our college cut down the partiessss??? I wonder if there would be any left for next year. :)

Afterwards we all had the usual "crazy" photo shoot.US. Most of them has blogs and are mentioned often here in mine. You can visit them. :)

Giovanne, Jesel, Jhonnel, Red, Jona, Avy, Pearl, Renel and Kath.

They all went to Autoshop afterwards and partied till 2. That's what I heard. Haha. I went home right away. Sheesh. Partypooper. :P

Missing my pink

Got tired of the other layout. I'm missing my pink! Haha. Wanted it to be pink and uhmm girly? I dunno. Oh and just a simple header as well.

Inspired by the song: Without you by Justincase and Michelle Branch. Like it soo much.

I think I'm already making a career of skipping class. Heck. T_T This is what happens when I get tired of all the same old thing. Or maybe because I'm done with my first defense and I don't have to worry about anything except turning over my "revised" thesis to our admin.

Tata for now. Just a short post. Oh and Pam, I can't make your layout cause your in WP, I still have to learn how to. Richard will just have to be patient about his. Hehe. Still looking for other inspiration. Nyahaha.

Tata for now have to rush rush to college and pass my thesis.

A Dalmatian

This is my Dalmatian Post. 101. Haha. :P

Here’s the catch, the title is, 15 simple but amazing facts about me. All you have to do is to post random facts and make it as interesting as possible. The facts doesn’t have to be positive attitudes, this will just widen the knowledge of the readers about you. You have to tag 3 more people after this. Goodluck! : Tagged by Abi

How do i make something ordinary into something pretty interesting haa? I'm not so sure if my 15 facts would be amazing... but here goes nothing....
  1. When I'm about to reach the last stage of school, I wanna get out of that school quick. It's a wonder I'm in college without quitting at the last stage(although, yeah I've been dropping hints and say "Ma, I wanna stop."). In elementary I switched to a public school when I was in Grade 6, and in H.S. I switched to "home study" during my 4th year.
  2. One of the reasons why I wanna stop when I was in my 4th year was because I read "Rich Dad, Poor Dad"... and I don't see any point for me to study when I can go and make money and get real FINANCIAL education outside school. Don't flame me, I know how "education" is important but it really depends on where you are getting your degree you know.
  3. I never attended a prom, because there was no chance to. When I was in 3rd year our school did not allow the prom due to an incident from the last year batch and I was having my "home study" when I was in 4th year. -_-
  4. I dreamed of being a spy/detective/CIA agent when I was young. Until now, I think it's cool, but then there'd be days when I have to take someone's life when I have that profession... soo fat chance.
  5. I don't like guyabano and pineapple.
  6. I love vanilla ice cream shake.
  7. I'm a crybaby. I cry when I'm angry, happy, confused etc.
  8. It is in my nature to be sweet to selected people...
  9. I stay away from people I can't understand.... but sometimes I feel bad about it.
  10. I'd rather give :P
  11. I only get moody at home, specially when I'm in front of the PC and they go "annoy" me. I'm trying to change it.
  12. I don't like replying to unknown texters. I'd reply only once.. and that's it.
  13. I used to play the piano and have piano recitals when I was in kindergarten but I stopped due to "money matters" but now when I can... I can't because.. I can't make way/time for it.
  14. I prefer reading books than going out.
  15. I love beaches when I was young, I still love them but I don't swim like before.
So that's about it.

I'm skipping a class again. I'm slacking off because..
  1. I only have one class (and an hour long) to attend to.
  2. Waste of money
  3. I still have to revise my thesis
  4. I can't move my butt off the pc now that I'm blogging.
  5. I'm thinking of soo many alibi's but the main reason is....
  6. I don't want to go.
Have a great week everyone. :)

Busy Bee

No updates in a few while. I'm drained. Haha. I don't know what to talk about. I dont want to bore you with my thesis details... and talking about it would not be exactly therapeutical for me. I'm still pondering on how to rig this whole thesis ordeal.

Our school's not giving us enough time to breathe. Every other week we have exams and our Final Defense was moved to Feb. 15, 16, 17, yesterday. Which is sooo shocking!! All eyes BULGED. O_O As in. HUWAAATTT ?

When asked the reason why the freaking defense for our Chapters 1-3 would be early, the admin says it's better not to prolong the agony and it's better that way since we have more time to "lamierda" afterwards. Yeah, right. As if we can. Although yeah we have the time but then we'd better use it wisely and work on our Thesis 2. Don't ask me why it's happening so fast, aside from the reason our admin stated. (Although yeah I do have an inkling why. It should involve $$$. Oops. Did I say that much ? haha)

----------------------------------------------

As to my 2 previous Inspiring posts. Seems like I know a lot about them and yeah I do. I've been reading a lot about happiness, life, spirituality last year..... and I've sorted them out. Tried the secrets to happiness, life, health, wealth. The ones I posted are the ones that worked for me. I've tried and tested them. But if it worked for me.. it doesn't mean it would work for you. We are all different and unique. We have different experiences. I'm sharing to you what I experienced and in the process might give you an idea, open your mind, inspire you.. or help you in any way.

Specially the one about Happiness being a choice. We can always choose to be happy despite the circumstance... but yeah sometimes we can't help but be sad by the events... but that's all part of the process. Just enjoy it! :)

Law of Polarity works in every way. We are living in the world of RELATIVITY. Where everything is related to each other. There'd be no happiness if there's no sadness. How can we appreciate happiness if we never go through sadness? Life. =)

And we all have our own definitions of happiness. Whichever way.. everyone's right. No one's wrong given their own model of the world.

Cheers to Happiness and Love! (Love you all!)

Untitled

I have a new layout... inspired by Nay Joy's song which can be seen from this post. Nice song and quite catchy. And very fitting for the new year :)

Our schedule for the title defense would be this January 18. *gah* We were asked to prepare 3 titles, if one gets rejected we have 2 more titles that would act as a back up. Nervy nervy. -_-

----------------------------------------------
RANDOM ICST CONVOS:
Renel: My gawd! You look soo cute! Anong breed ka? (referring to Giovanne)
Giovanne: Breed ?
Renel: French breed, Garlic breed...

Giovanne: Iinom na ako ng tsa-a. Ito ay nakabubuti.
Avy: *snickers* A crowned princess does not have chubby fingers.
Giovanne: I'm wearing gloves.
Jona: Ang laki naman.

Vanessa: Ill have a coffee shop. It would be called THE COFFEE SHOP.
Giovanne: Hmm.. parang pinag-isipan talaga ang title ahh...

Jhonnel: What could be the possible title for my thesis ? (in Bisaya)
Avy: I don't know. But I have one! Automated Teller Machine.
Renel: Oh my gosh! Balik balik na... you said that four times already.
Tina: Haha. Title? Mine is "Untitled"

Which reminds me of a convo with me and my sister:

*BG music:Untitled - Simple Plan*
Darlene: What's the title of that song?
Tina: *serious* Untitled
Darlene: Tarong ba! (Be serious!!)
Tina: Untitled lagi. (Untitled nga!)
Darlene: Huh? Isulti ba. (Huh? Tell it to meee!)
Tina: Untitled nga *bulging eyes*
Darlene: Pleeassee share it to me
Tina: It's Untitled ok?
Darlene: What? Untitled? Pleaseee tell it to me.
Tina: The song's title is Untitled!!!! rawrrrr.
Soo exasperating. -_-

Espresso Break

Awhile ago Jona,Renel, Giovanne,Avy, and Nessa went to office.

Kape-kape together. Oops actually choco drink yung kinuha nila. Hehe. If they opted for the coffee they would've gone straight to the C.R. Our coffee has that effect of making you poo(sorry, if you're eating) if you did not get to poo for the day. Which is actually good, since it eliminates the toxins of your body... and thus we call that "deTox". Haha.

One reason they visited the office, is because it's where Jona, Renel and Pearl (who was not present that time since she measles) would have their OJT. So, they talked with my mom, hope they learned a lot. Ahihi. -_-

Oh and before we arrived at the office we got Paul's Christmas Cards straight from the U.K.!! Thank you Paul!! In behalf of everyone from ICST! We miss you!

Anyhow, I'm launching (haha parang LIBRO anoh? Book Launch) my NEW REVIEW BLOG.

So that I only have to login once. I don't have to login at Multiply or Friendster for the reviews. Although, I'll go there once a month and post at least one review so that it won't be inactive.

Tomorrow will be our first meeting for our THESIS 1. -_-

Anyway, just drop by.. @ ESPRESSO BREAK

See you. Have a nice night.

Happy New Year

So, I wanted to post last January 1, 2007 but then due to a hundred unsuccesful attempts of trying to log-in I was unable to. Nyahaha. For the nth time today, I finally got to log in.

Our classes started yesterday. I have 3 subjects this term and 3 more left for me to graduate!! *Congratulate me* I'm doing the Subject THREEnity each term.

MWF - Computer Aided Accounting. Every 1-2 pm.
TTH - Thesis 1 (10-12 am) and Seminars on Technology (1-3pm)

Not bad. At least I don't have to wake up too early everyday.

I finally got to finish the COMELEC registration last Jan. 2, 2006.

It's raining cats and dogs today. (oooh.. I soo Love the weather). Since, I love it... I'm staying home. (In other words.. "skipping class") Haha. Did I mention that I love this weather when I'm snuggled up in bed and reading a book with a cup of coffee beside? Ahh.. Heaven.

Yesterday, we only have one class.. so the rest of the gang decided to watch 2 movies at home.

The gang composed ofAvy, Nessa, Renel, Pearl, and Red. Jesel, Jona and Kath just followed suit.

We watched The Devil Wears Prada and The Banquet.

And now... I'm still here in front of the PC.. doing errands (paperworks) for mom... and sending it to her business partners.

Happy new year Everyoneee... (im posting a jan. 1 2007) haha. cant help it.

Random ICST convos:

Tina: Why?
Renel: Kay greedy man xa... *explains*
Tina: Huh? (did not get the explanation)
Jesel: Greedy ba.. sa manok.
Tina: Double ha?
Kath: Whattt?
Jesel: Greedy sa manok
Kath: Manok?
Tina: Ahh,... gravy. rawrrr.

Tina: *after a korny joke*
Pearl: Tina... I thought you said... it's a new year... and no more korny jokes
Tina: Yeah... no more korny jokes... yes to super korny jokes. (Evolution is the name of the game.)

Watching Merryl Streep at the last part in her car.
Tina: What? Does she have a Multiple Personality Disorder?

Renel was locked from the outside. He kept knocking but we did not open the door. After a few minutes when the knocking stopped... we opened the door.

Jona: renel come in.
Avy: Renel.
Kath: Reneeeelll!!!
*Renel comes in with an angry face*
Jona: Uy Renel that was just a joke.
Tina: Your despidida party joke.
*Angry face still*
Renel: Give me my bag....
*uh oh we smell twable..*
Jona: That was a joke....
*everyone serious concerned face. Jesel hands out his bag.*
*Renel about to go and Jona beside the door*
Renel: Excuse me beh... Palingkuri ko. (*Excuse me. Let me sit*)
*and everyone bursted into laughter*

*noisy room while watching.. everyone talking*
Avy: Saba ra gud mo beh! (*Will you guys shut up?*)
*the room was suddenly silent*
Red: *genuinely coughs twice*
Avy: Oh naa pa diod mu ubo. (*Oh.. and then someone would cough!!!* pouts)
(Poor Red..)

Freedom of the Seas

I skipped my one and only class today. My Php 14.00 worth of class, cause I have to spend 14 pesos for a single 2-hour class, and yet nobody shows up but me and Gino.

Awhile ago, there were a lot of things running around in my mind.. but I can't think of anything to write now. Haha *gah* No, not blogger's block. So many things, and yet I dont know where to start.

I'm re-reading The Alchemist. The book written by Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki, "Why we want you to be rich" is lying beside a chair, unfinished. The book which is a Pulitzer Prize Winner, and should be very exciting entitled "The Soul of a New Machine", was boring me to death and so it remains unread. (ma-detalye kasi) Nyahaha.

--------------------------------------
I searched the internet to answer some of the questions raised about QM2.

It WAS the world's largest cruise ship when it first set sailed. But, it's title was taken last May 2006 when the newly built "Freedom of the Seas", arrived in New York Harbor from Southampton, Britain, which is 237 feet tall and 1,112 feet long with 15 passenger decks.

It has replaced the ocean liner Queen Mary 2 as the world's biggest cruise liner, which although six metres longer, is 15m narrower than the Finnish-built vessel.

Built by Norwegian shipbuilder Aker Yards ASA, the ship cost $800 million and can carry more than 4,000 passengers. The world's previous largest ship, the Queen Mary 2, can carry about 3,000 people and weighs 151,400 tons.

Queen Mary 2

Freedom of the Seas

Anyway visit their respective sites Queen Mary 2 and Freedom of the Seas, if you want more info and more comparison or whatsoever. ahihi.

And my dream to have the first "skating rink" on sea was done by Freedom of the Seas already. They have one. (HUHU). I cant have a "zoo", cause that's Noah's Ark. Haha. I will have an amusement park in my cruise ship. Hah. I bet they don't have that. Nyahaha. Para unique. Haha. :)

Firstborns

Happy Birthday Pam.

-----------------------------------------------

They adjusted the schedule again, our Departmental Exam would be on Dec. 4 and 5. That means our class officially ends by 6. *sigh* Whatever.

To quote Avy:

They can't give a god damn stable schedule for the exams and other stuff.

Oh well. That's life. So much for being excited and all that. I have a lot of things in my mind lately, and I have a lot to share but so many things... and yet I can't prolly post them all in one entry.

---------------------------------------------------

"To whom much is given, much is required"

My mom would repeat that to me over and over again. In our "family", firstborns have a great responsibility. Firstborns, would reflect the parents themselves. And I am one.

Being a firstborn has a lot of perks. You get to be with your parents wherever they go, or you get to be the first in a lot of things, or you get to join their conversations when they see it fit, and a whole lot more. (You even get included in discussions.) Although, yes the young uns get included most of the time, but usually you have the first-say most of the time.

But then, to whom much is given, much is required. With power comes great responsibility.

Responsible in everything you do, without blaming anyone for it. Since the young-uns are looking up to you and may be following your examples, it is also a part of your responsibility.

It was so fitting when we went to Manila to "cohabitate"(Cohabitation = where we live together under one roof, sleep in one room, do the household chores and learn from each other.) with the rest of the "youth" firstborns from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao (12 of us) last 2002. That was the time Spiderman was released and was seen in theaters worldwide.

You see, in movies you get to learn a lot of things depending on how you respond to that movie. It also depends on what you are currently experiencing right now, in relation to that movie.

So when we saw SpiderMan together, we were totally taken away by the message. "With great power comes great responsibility." It applied to us, and we suddenly felt the light side of it all after seeing the movie.

But of course, the quote above applies to everyone. Whether you are a firstborn or not, it doesn't really matter. Everyone has been given that much(the God-given gift, the resources, the talent, the skills, the wit, etc. and mind you created by His own image and LIKENESS). Not just heroes, or any politician. A father or a mother, a firstborn or the youngest. Everyone has a responsibility, to LIVE their own life. To choose WHO THEY WANT TO BE.

Even Green Goblin knew about the choice.

Green Goblin: Spider-Man. This is why only fools are heroes - because you never know when some lunatic will come along with a sadistic choice. Let die the woman you love... or suffer the little children. Make your choice, Spider-Man, and see how a hero is rewarded.
Spiderman: Don't do it, Goblin.
Green Goblin: We are who we choose to be... now, CHOOSE.

We are indeed who we choose to be. :)

Spiderman, when he asks himself has his own answer of who he is.

Now who are you and Who AM I?

Our last day was spent at Corregidor. :)

Examination Convos

Awhile ago, Jona, Nessa, Kath, Angie and I were talking about dreams.

And whenever a group of people talk about dreams, they usually ask about the kind of dream that made you jerk or wakes you up because you felt like falling. Why do we jerk and wake up when something like that happens? I know everyone has this kind of dream.

Now, I may have found the answer to everyone's question. I searched the internet... and here's what I found:

There is actually a term to describe what you are experiencing in your dream. It is called myclonic jerks. Many who dream that they are falling sometimes jerk or twitch their legs/arms and end up waking themselves up. There is no concrete reason as to why this happens.

One theory is that it is our instinctive response for what the brain perceives as
a potentially dangerous situation. Sometimes dreams are so real that the brain believes that you are really falling or in some sort of danger. And hence the brain sends signals to the body to start "fleeing".

According to biblical interpretations, dreams about falling have a negative overtone and suggest that man is acting and walking according to his own way of thinking and not those of the Lord.

Our school uses "proctoring" during examinations. One or two proctors are present.

Maam Liezyl: Anyone caught cheating, automatically 5. Please take a look at them Maam Yvonne.

During examination.

Giovanne: Wala mani choice oi, kung mangopya ko singko ko. Kung dili ko mag answer singko lang gihapon ko. (*This leaves me with no choice. If I am caught cheating, I'd get 5, if I don't answer I'd get 5 too. *)
Maam Yvonne: Dawata na lang sa maayong kabubut-un (*Then accept the facts with all your heart*)
Giovanne: Pero, at least kung mangopya ko.... I've tried my best. (*But, at least if I copy.... I've tried my best*)
*CLASS LAUGHS*

Giovanne: Maam, ang ingon lang ni Maam Liezyl kay, ang mangopya. Unya kung isturya na lang namo ang answer? (*Maam, What Maam Liezyl told us, is that "if we copy". What if we just dictate our answers then?*)

Giovanne was really funny awhile ago. He'd sing while checking the answers out. And then when Maam Yvonne would catch him... he would stop and pretend he is dancing. And he would actually make the moves like an ethnic dancer and say....

"See... I'm promoting our culture...."

But at the same time... he would crane his neck along with his.. hands moving in an ethnic-kind-of-way.

I wish I could video him. I cannot take my cellphone out. *GAH*

Giovanne: Wala ma'y pulos ang kodigs nako ani oi! (*My kodigs was of no use at all!*)

Gleamore rarely goes to our class, and it is unusual to find him soo silent and answering his test paper.

Jona: Ok ni si Gleamore ah! Murag nikaon diod siya ug kalabasa. (*Wow. Gleamore is doing good, I think he ate some squash.*)

Maam Yvonne: Nangopya nasad ka ba! (*You are cheating again!*)
Giovanne: Excuse me, wala ka'y proeba na nangopya ko. (*Excuse me, You don't have a proof that I copied.*)

Giovanne: Pag mapul-an ko i-pass na man diod nako ni ba. Kapoi kaayo ba mu-timing kung kanus-a mugawas si maam or dili mutanaw, kapoy maghulat ug answer. (*If I would be fed up, I'd pass this. It's so tiring to wait for Maam to go out or not watching, and it's tiring to wait for the answers to arrive.*)
Renel: Gawas sad panagsa Maam, one minute lang. (*Maam, try going even for a minute*)
Giovanne: One minute to copy it all. That is, kung makabalik pa ka. (*
One minute to copy it all. That is, if you can go back*)
Maam Yvonne: Kay lockan ko ninyo? (*Coz you would lock me up then?*)

Maam Yvonne: Kung wala na moy answer, pwede namo mugawas. (*If you dont have any answer, you can go out.*)
Giovanne: That's life.... you must try...even if it means getting 5. Maam did you not copy your way to college?
Maam Yvonne: Nope.
Giovanne: Then your life was boring.

Giovanne passed his papers already.

Maam Yvonne: Batchoy and Karlo!!
Giovanne: Karlo akala ko mabait ka, yun pala magkadugo lang tayo.

Avy is a silent cheater! Bwahaha. Or I have not heard her talking about it. But I saw her awhile ago approaching the front wanting to get the "confiscated" photocopy of our exam when our teacher was not looking at all. But she backed out... *laughing mischievously* saying she got scared she might get caught and get 5.

The thing is... we did not get to study our Software Engineering exam. So it was a hopeless case.
That's why everyone keeps talking the whole time. :)

Numerical Analysis

I'm starting to like math. Or is math falling in love with me? Bwahahaha. Wish ko lang.

Anyway, I aced my Numerical Analysis awhile ago. Which is sooo unlike me... because when it comes to Gauss, blah, and blah.... I don't have the patience to finish a veryyyy long mathematical/numerical equation.

We have 2 numerical problems.

And guess how long it took me to finish it perfectly?

3 long hours.

Bwahaha. I guess my 3 hours was worth it, then. Unlike my pre-finals exam. *Gah* I did not get one problem right. My teacher just placed B for effort. My effort for trying to solve the problem for 2 hours.

Anyway, credits to my teacher, Maam Yvonne. I like it when she teaches math, she makes it sound so simple. And she gives us nice grades. Thank you for showing me the path...how to love math. -_-

And did I mention how shocked Maam Yvonne was, and even told Sir MJ about it?

I have 5 exams tomorrow.

Compiler Design, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Information System, and Software Engineering. -_-

Random ICST convos: EXAMINATION DAYS

5 minutes before exam:

Jona and June: Friends tayo haaa? People!!! Friendship.
Jasper: Activate bluetooth.
Cedrick: Where's the hub?
Johnnel: Copy and paste.
Tina: Edit it also.
Nessa: Psst. Just send it to me.

During exam:

*Evan checking out his phone*
Maam Yvonne: EVAN!!! Cellphone!
Evan: My mom just texted me. Am I not allowed to reply? (eeep. What an excuse!)

Karlo looking around...
Maam Yvonne: Karlo!!!!!
Karlo: Huh? I was just looking around

MaamYvonne: EEEkk... I'm running out of space for all the red marks!!

Giovanne: Bahala na minusan ko nimo Maam, basta mangopya lng ko (I dont care if you mark a minus maam, as long as I can copy answers)

*Cedrick craning his neck on Giovanne's paper*
Maam Yvonne: Cedrick!!!! Minus Ten
Cedrick: Hey!!

Maam Fe: Do not be shocked, if you see your grades failing ha?

Maam Yvonne: JV!!!! You are always looking at Joanne's paper!
JV: Ako na lang pirme. (Why is it always me?)

Delaying Tactics:

Giovanne: Maam, They want you at Tesda
Renel: Maam, gawas gawas sad panagsa. (Maam, go out once in awhile)

New Teacher: Why are you so noisy?
Johnnel: Maam, we can't concentrate if it's silent.
New Teacher: Huh? Won't your classmates be disturbed?
Johnnel: No, they like it that way. Right guys?
*class says yes while hissing and mumbling the answers*
Johnnel: See? If it's noisy, we get more answers.

Jesel: Wala na si maam. Dali dali!

or someone would ask the teacher something to divert his/her attention.

Hopeless cases:

and if all else fails.... Just pass your paper.

*looking around at his classmates handing out their papers*
Evan: Let's pass our papers.
Uone: Later.
Evan: It's no use, they passed it already.

Final Exam

Our final exam will start tomorrow, what a drag. But on the lighter side, our classes would be almost over. (We still have our departmental exam.)

Our class was again in it's usual rowdy self, specially the SIS class.

It's almost December, and then it would be January. January a dreaded month, we will be starting our thesis na. I'm still debating with myself whether to have mine descriptive or the one with a program.

Descriptive Thesis - mainly research, surveys and polls. They said this is hard because, the panel can fire up a lot of questions, therefore you cannot control their questions.

Program - basically, you have to make a program. Programming is too stressing for me. *GAH* But one good thing is, they rarely ask questions if they can see the program you made.

Que sera, sera.

Tuna and Pancit

It was supposed to be a "model-shoot-of-our-model-wannabe-Renel" awhile ago.

Renel asked me last week, that she wants some of her pictures taken at our lawn instead of some studio. And I think she has a couple of reasons for that.

1.) No photographers wincing on her pose
2.) No photographers having crazy ideas about her being SO-SO
3.) No photographers telling her "do-this do-that"
4.) She can change her outfit (even if it takes soo long. as in long!)
5.) She can bring lots and lots of outfit (3 bags all-in-all!)
6.) The TALENT FEE of the photographers(w/c would be Red and me) is FREE

Although she cannot be spared about the food. Because everybody needs to at least bring their own contribution.

Anyway, the original plan was just Renel, Me, Avy, and Vanessa.
But then, Jona, Giovanne, Red, and Bords tagged along.

We did not arrive at our place together. Jona, Red and Bordz went ahead, because Avy and I were still waiting for Renel and Giovanne to emerge from the Convenience Store which was conveniently located in front of our school.

While Renel, Avy, Giovanne and I was riding at the jeepney... we were babbling away.

Jeepney Conversation:

Avy: I have a question.
Renel: What?
Avy: Why can't we cross Samal Island these days?
Giovanne: I have an answer for that.
Avy: What?
Giovanne: Well, since we all know that it's December and the.. uhmmm what do you call that? the uhmm?
Avy: What?
Giovanne: the... you know... *tries to act it*
Avy: Current?
Giovanne: Yeah, the current is strong...
Avy: You're wrong.
Giovanne: Why ? What's the answer then?
Avy: We can't cross it, because it has no pedestrian lane.

*everyone rolled their eyes*
----------------------------------

My uncle who lives next door has his own karaoke, and we borrowed it last night because there was a gathering of DXN members. It was more like a birthday party at the same time, because there were three celebrants.

Giovanne and the rest of the gang eyed the karaoke, and eventually they got to use it. They were belting out their favorite karaoke songs while Renel was busy with her beauty rituals (make-up/costume) and all that.

Avy sang a few songs while waiting for Vanessa to arrive. Vanessa was the one who bought the tuna flakes and egg. When Vanessa arrived, they immediately went upstairs to cook. Yay!

MENU: Tuna Flakes mixed with egg (an Avydooby speciality), and HOT Pancit Canton (contributed by Giovanne) and Rice(by me).

Drink: We have the apple juice(contributed by Renel) , and unlimited supply of Cold water/Hot water.

Sitch: Everyone eating when the food was served. Everyone talking at once at the same time eating. Giovanne was unusually silent.

Me: Uyy hilom kaayo si Giovanne! (Uyy Giovanne, is so silent.)

Everyone turned to look at him.

Giovanne: Well, I did not eat breakfast and lunch. *hogging away* Ahhhhh.. It's so hot!
*referring to the pancit* You know my life....
Red: Pag-undang na ug Dota Giovanne, di naka naga kaon ug lunch tungod ana. (Stop playing Dota Giovanne, you don't eat lunch because of that.)
Avy: Giovanne, won't play right?
*Giovanne did not answer.... which means he still wants to play*

Jona: Giovanne, why are you not eating tuna?
Giovanne: Hmmp. Sige na lang ko ug tuna sa balay. (Hmmp. I always eat tuna at home.)
Jona: Gina-unsa nimo ang tuna? (What do you do with the tuna?)
Giovanne: Of course, what do i do with a tuna? I eat it!

Random ICST Convos:

Giovanne: Ginabisbisan ang mga treeth... (Watering the treeth..)
Bordz: Unsa ang ginabisbisan? (What are they watering?)
Red: mga treeth.

Sleigh Ride

For two consecutive meetings my Economics and Entrepreneurship class was with NO TEACHER AT ALL. I'm not complaining or anything, in fact I am grateful (not that I don't like our teacher) at least I can read the book I am reading for two hours. :P

(Btw, he left us some seatworks which could be done in 5 minutes tops.)

I'm currently reading The Loop by Nicholas Evans. It's a great book. I think I'll be finishing the book tonight, because Avy will borrow it, prolly tomorrow.

Im currently listening to some Christmas Songs, just to be in the spirit! Haha. Actually, I just like hearing Christmas Songs when Christmas is coming my way. :)

"Giddy yap, giddy yap, giddy yap, let's go, Let's look at the show,"

I just finished my 5-hour driving lessons. Finally =)

Oh and I would like to greet a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to dwin dwin!! I made a banner for him too! I know you had a wonderful day today!

I am suddenly craving for....

That's my favorite cake EVER! It's called Mango Charlotte, made in Bistro Rosario. (It has a durian counterpart but I like the Mango better. I like durian when it's just the fruit or a shake.) Whenever I think of birthdays, Mango Charlotte pops in my mind. And I have the picture. Waaa it makes me hungrier. *rawr* I hope Dwinny and all of you guys can try the cake. It's really good.

That's all for now. I already made you crave(*drool*) over that cake or whatever cake you like that reminded you... just as I did tonight. -_-
