Gracias
Esmyuskee...
Gratitude Quotes I like:
"Count your blessings name them one by one... count your blessing see what God has done. Count your blessings.. name them one by one.. Count your blessings see what God has done."
I think the best prayer in this world are those that are full of thanks. I make it a point at night to give thanks to everyone around me... for little things that makes me smile... for everything before I go to sleep.

Remembering the song... I guess it is time to count my blessings... ehmm...
Anyone saw the PBB episode last night? Muwahaha Pretty funny punishment they have.
As punishment for having leftovers:
The girls were cooking helplessly at a SMALL clay pot the old fashioned way. And then they were asked to eat at a small plate, spoon and fork and a shot glass for their water. It was really a funny scene specially for the boys. Haha. If only you saw Toni's hosting which added more humor. Hayyy... funny funny.
Game:
Anyway.. just for laughs [ to know you are reading this, haha. kidding ]
Bodie used to be a cast from Ang TV and Big Brother asked them to add "Esmyuskee" whenever they start to talk...and end their sentence with a "Ngeh".
Which is really hilarious.... [ that episode sure is fun.. I hope I catch it again on YouTube ]
and wouldn't it be fun to try it out here? [ I know it's a bit lame but.... we can afford to be lame once in a while di ba? ]
and sa mga PBB haters you are Esmyuskeed. Hehe. :)
Example Comment: "Esmyuskee Tina.. I really blah blah blah and at the end... Nge."
Sige na. Thank you. Nge.
Gratitude Quotes I like:
I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder. ~G.K. Chesterton
Gratitude is the memory of the heart. ~Jean Baptiste Massieu, translated from French
What if you gave someone a gift, and they neglected to thank you for it - would you be likely to give them another? Life is the same way. In order to attract more of the blessings that life has to offer, you must truly appreciate what you already have. - Ralph Marston

Remembering the song... I guess it is time to count my blessings... ehmm...
- ME - I thank God for me. For giving me a(nother) chance to be in another/this part of the world... letting me experience things I want to experience... letting me enjoy everything that comes along my way. For... being a part of this wonderful era. The golden age of wisdom, peace(within so far...) and prosperity.... Yes, this is the day! Woohoo *oops*
- Family - for being with my family all throughout this journey discovering and remembering together hand in hand... who we really are..
- Spiritual Family - for keeping us in balance. For the enlightening company.. for the warmth... the happiness.... the realizations... the gatherings... the CULTURE and for preparing "US" the NEXT GENERATION.
- Friends - my friends... be it from childhood up until now. For understanding me as ME. for sharing yourselves to me as well... For being like little specimens I'm trying to discover each and every day.. Joke.
- Enemies - Oops not those homicidal enemies... Just those uhmm little grudges unsettled.. Haha. Actually only one from high school. And uhmm the tatlong pogi who are always looking for trouble along with their wives. Thank you for giving me a chance to grow as a person... and overcoming you... please understand in everything that you do 3 pogi's you can't in any way affect me anymore like you do before. =)
- Nature - Until now.. I can't help but be amazed of Nature. Thank you for the lessons... that you impart in a very unique way. I learn a lot about life whenever I gaze at one part of you (be it from the ants to the butterflies to the greatest mountain up to the sky).
- Health/Body/Healing Methods - I know this is part of nature... but I want to separate this. I used to be a sickly kid, I am always rushed to the hospital every other week (be it from dengue, colds, fever). But, ever since the world of alternative healing opened up for us... I've never been to the hospital (unless for visits) for 14 years now. I realized our body was designed to LIVE forever, and I am still amazed at how our body was created.... how intelligent it is... and how it is THE BEST DOCTOR in the whole wide world. That no medicine can heal you.. except your body alone. Thank you for my health and for giving me the wisdom to take care of my body wisely (although, I've abused it most of the time, but IM TRYING HARD to balance it out..).
- Philippines - Thank you for letting me live in this part of the world. To be part of a culture I have come to love(only positive ones). Thank you for giving us Pinoys the humor in the face of danger and hard times. Thank you for making me live in one of Nature's haven I have called my home in this mortal life...
- The Word/Wisdom - In the beginning was THE WORD.... thank you for your word.
- TRUTH - thank you for letting me know the difference between REALITY and TRUTH... and whatever happens in this realm I would always remember the TRUTH that always sets me FREE from the chains of this world.
- CHOICE/WILL- Thank you for giving us the power to exercise our will through choices. Thank you for showing me YOUR will... and that I have every right to follow it or not... but I have chosen to follow yours... even if it requires a lot of worldly sacrifices....
- EVERYTHING - (ang daya everything ano?) just EVERYTHING. the perfections and imperfections..... the things that comprises the WHO I AM. Life and death, hot and the cold... you name it. I have come to enjoy and thank everything that comes along my way be it good or bad. Every circumstance brings about different opportunities and it is up to me what side of the coin I choose to focus.
- YOU - and of course YOU! Anyone reading this. Thank you for giving me a chance to share all these things to you... THANK YOU. :)

Al dente
Everybody kinda freaked out about the chicken and the pork ha?
We stopped eating pork 11 years ago, ever since my dad was half-bodied paralyzed. He is well now. Doing great. Really.
It wasn't that hard for me, because I was not attached to pork, although yeah my favorite tocino would be a no-no anymore until they invented tuna tocino, and tuna of everything which makes a good alternative. Eventhough it's a far cry from pork, it will do.
Chicken contains salmonella and other bacterias (sabi ng chef namin! haha) and so does any kind of poultry. That's why they recommend everybody to use different chopping boards for Chicken, Meat & Fish, and Veggies so that veggies and other meats would not be contaminated by any form of bacteria from the chicken. It's safer to have separate chopping boards right ?
I searched the net, you might be interested with some of their infos: PCRM
and just to be sure that there are a lot of available sources about this.
It's not that we will not eat chicken anymore, just moderate. Remember, too much of something is bad? To at least kill the salmonella in an egg.
Here's how you do it:
*Boil 2 inches water in a sauce pan and then cook the egg for 45 seconds.
and you can do whatever you want to do with the egg.
Most of the parasites comes from PORK. That's why we stopped it right away. Hard, but hey it is your choice.
Remember, everything in life is a choice. One way or another those choices will lead to different results. And no one is to be blamed. You made a choice. End of story. You can always choose again.
(I'll be attending another seminar tomorrow about Cardiovascular-something err I forgot the whole title.)
( Don't mind my title. Trip ko lang. After-effects ng cooking lessons. Haha)
Random Convos:
*cooks something in the oven*
Class: Amoy Ipis (smells like roaches)
Ate Mildi: Baka may ipis sa oven. (maybe there are roaches in the oven)
Dra.: May ipis nga. (there is...)
Ate Mildi: So, luto na siya? *ate.. obyus po... nangangamoy na eh* (so, its cooked already?)
Class: Laughs
Ate Suz: Kahapon pa siya naluto... kahapon pa namin yan ginamit eh! (It was cooked yesterday! We used that yesterday.)
Dra: Eh di cremated na siya... (Then it's cremated)
*note: the ipis i think is under the oven. It was cleaned before it was used.*
Cheers to life and healthy living!

Monuments of Great Men
We had a certain family(couple) member who stayed in Kenya, Nairobi for six months and who stayed for two months in Germany.
They talked about how Kenya was like, that it wasn't that HOT and sunny all the time after all. Although one part which is an 8 hour drive from Nairobi, near the coast would be sooo much like Cebu, the weather that is. They talked about all the things that are feared by most they have gone through all of it and of course they talked about they've had enough and would not be coming back to really stay there.
Poverty is pretty much evident in those parts. If you've seen poverty in the Philippines, boy you've never heard far more than that than in those places. You would begin to realise that "Hey, I'm blessed after all.. I can eat 3times a day and all that."
In every poverty-stricken country you can always pinpoint that the government is corrupt. Yup, pretty much more corrupt than our country.
What is saddening about the country is the way the people live. I'll give some examples about how poor their situation is.
Actually, there are still more saddening information but I'm not gonna dwell on them since my post is about Monuments of Great Men.
Anyway, they stayed in Kenya for 6 months. They got a visa for Germany, actually it was a visa wherein they could travel to different countries in EU except Britain and Switzerland I think. Anyhow, they were riding an Egyptian airline for Germany. The rate of the airline is actually half of the rates compared to Lufthansa and other airline companies.
Airline: "Our rates are pretty much good right? Well, only one downside of it. It's because you won't directly go to Germany we will be stopping for a night in Cairo. Sorry for the inconvenience."
But of course, we Pinoys would definitely love a sight-seeing and it was free sooo why not?
Couple: "Would we have Visa's for that ?"
Airline:"Of course we will take care of your visa and your hotel accomodation."
Couple:"Oh ok, that would be fine."
But deep inside... one would definitely get excited.
They got the tour to see the pyramids of Egypt and the Sphinx in Giza. With all it's glory, they were awestruck. It was really a great experience they say. They saw the Sphinx and behind the Sphinx was the pyramids. The Sphinx was created in monument of men, the egyptians. Before, the Egyptians were really on top. They created the Sphinx and it symbolizes strength and power.

Behind it are the Pyramids. It's supposed to guard the pyramids, that's what they say. It's face was meant to be in honor of an Egyptian Pharoah. It has a "missing nose" and it was believed that it was broken off by a cannon ball fired by one of Napoleon's soldier.
Anyway, when you gaze in front of the Sphinx you'd be awed specially by the view behind it, which are the Pyramids. But, have you ever wondered what the Sphinx is gazing at nowadays? -_-
I have to google for the picture. Haha.

image from TrekEarth.
There you go! With all it's splendour and glory the GREAT SPHINX faces it's opponent. A chicken! Of all the fast food chain in the world... why KFC(notice the red sign of KFC)? And of all the types of chicken whyyyy should it be the "FRIED" onesss? Could it have been much better if the chicken was alive?
God really has a humor. In fact God invented humor. The Ancient Egyptians were so proud of their accomplishments before. And now...... it faces it's opponent.
They also saw the Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, and the Mercedes Benz museum. Each different monument/memoirs of great men behind it.
It actually made them realise that great men can make a monument of what they have done in the past to show to the world in the future about what they accomplished but it's just PHYSICAL. What good would a monument be ? Sure, it has it's part of being amazing (like the pyramids which were created without the use of mortar and was done mathematically right.), sure it is a reminder, but then what? What good would it be to the next generation?
Men can make monuments of their accomplishment. And you can see that behind every monument there is a great man who HAD A DREAM. A great man who wanted sooo much and nurtured that DREAM and thus in the process made itself a monument as a reminder of what he has done.
A monument is a great reminder. But, what's best is to SHARE the DREAM to the NEXT GENERATION so that they to... will learn how to LIVE THEIR own DREAM. Not just SHOW but SHARE. Not just stones and rubbles but it should be alive and with a heart that could be passed on from generation to generation.
Hey, I'm not putting down the monuments ok? It's just that we all need more than just a monument of a great person. -_-

- they get to eat one heavy meal a day.
- You'd see people lying on the grass by midafternoon. You would think they are sleeping which is in fact true but the reason for their sleeping is because they are HUNGRY. They believed that they would be FULL when they lie down and get the energy of the land.
- Rice is a luxury. It costs 180-200 pesos half kilo.
- Girls always skip class 2-3 days a month whenever their period strikes because they have no money to buy sanitary napkins
- Most of them walk to work because they don't have enough money to ride the Matatu (their public transpo much like our jeepneys here)
Actually, there are still more saddening information but I'm not gonna dwell on them since my post is about Monuments of Great Men.

Untitled
I have a new layout... inspired by Nay Joy's song which can be seen from this post. Nice song and quite catchy. And very fitting for the new year :)
Our schedule for the title defense would be this January 18. *gah* We were asked to prepare 3 titles, if one gets rejected we have 2 more titles that would act as a back up. Nervy nervy. -_-

Scary Skeleton
It was my FIRST time to be out-of-town with friends yesterday. My mom rarely say "yes" whenever i asked to go to some of the group outings. Anyway, I wonder what she ate and made me go? Maybe, at least for once she made me go...so that one day I don't have to say, "I've never gone..." but instead, "I have been to ONE...".
"I have been to One.." is better than "I've never gone.." right? Whatever.
The New Christ the King Church was so wonderful. It's really different from the churches in Davao, merely cause it is new. It's design and the statues, and sceneries around it.. is picturesque.

The reception was at Molave Hotel, Acacia Hall. One thing that was new in the reception(for me), was the Cake Parade and the Champagne Parade. It was my first time to witness a reception with a parade.

Since Halloween is just around the corner, I might as well join in the FUN!
This video was shared by an online friend(drosdow). It sure made me laugh!

I choose you!
I was tagged by AVY
List down 9 weird things about yourself and tag another nine.
I cant think of anything that makes me weird, bear with me if you dont think it's weird.
1.) I consider reading books for FUN. Rolling in the bed... snuggled up in covers and then reading a book makes my day. I'd rather read a good book than go "partying" in bars/clubs, (and i have nothing against it, ok? I just have a different definition of F-U-N. )
2.) I used to daydream being a spy, a princess from a faraway land, being a Jessica or an Elizabeth from Sweet Valley...
3.) I can make my ears move. No one taught me how, I was just curious to try it out. It took me hours to practice due to "boredom". And now, it's not that weird anymore because 4 out of 10 people can prolly do it.
4.) I wanna be everything! I wanna be a film-maker, a movie producer, a conductress, i wanna learn how to ice skate professionally, i wanna be a photographer, a music production artist, a scrip writer, i wanna play the violin, i wanna be the president of the philippines, i wanna be an author of a best-selling book, i wanna be a tycoon, i wanna skydive, i want to try bungee jumping, i wanna own a ship, i want a star named after me, i wan i wan .... and so on and so on.
5.) Still a Disney fan even if Im already 18. I Love Disney music, dont really care if they think it's cheesy.... their music just speaks the obvious truth: DREAMS COME TRUE.
6.) Likes to watch horror/suspense movies. Tease my siblings about being scared... but deep inside I am scared too, and I cant wait for the rooster to cry and for the sun to shine. But, my being scared lasts for the day/night I watched the movie.
7.) When I was young, i love to play ALONE with my paper dolls. I lock myself in my room and then make my own story. I dont want anyone disturbing me. (ive outgrown the paper-doll thingy.")
8.) I love it when it rains, if and only if I am in bed snuggled up. *snuggles*
9.) I think therefore I am.
I choose YOU!
Nine LIVES(tagging the NINE): Ate Mayeth, June Mae, Jona, Giovanne, Renel, Johnnel, Jesel, Darlene, and Nessa.
I shall be posting ICST convos that I find funny.
June:What are the different kinds of socket?
Giovanne: ME ME ME! I wanna answer that! Socket sa ulo, Socket sa tiyan....
June: Why are you writing down the answers? You will use it as a kodigoh noh?
Giovanne: As if! You can't even answer exams without kodigos!
Giovanne loves to watch Pokemon. And sometimes he feels like he is Ash and loves to role play in front of everybody in college. The problem is, there are no pokemon's to catch. But of course, for Giovanne, that is not a problem. What, with all the people in our school? Surely, there could be a few pokemon's pretending to be humans lurking in there.
Note: Giovanne is Ash. I would keep the names hidden na lang. The so-called attack powers reflects the personality the students notice.
Ash: Sir ****, I choose you!
Foul breath attack!
Steal!
: Maam ****, I choose you!
Deception!
Myriad Attack!
: ******, I choose you!
Whirlwind Attack!
Kingkong Attack!
Renel: You are becoming a monster!
Giovanne: I am already a monster.
Renel: An ugly monster.
Giovanne: I am already ugly and di ako nagiisa.
Renel: You are blind!
Giovanne: I'm not blind, just blurred.
You see, Giovanne wears glasses. Without it, he can't see.

United Attendance
The images below is from the Attendance sheet of our SIS clas. Yeah, the chaotic one.
The one i encircled (is that a circle? hehe) is mine. The rest I placed their names beside... (i usually quote them from my RANDOM ICST convos...) so you would know them.
And you can see.. who started that fad. That's Renel on top of the line. The country slot is kinda funny, because we all have to think of some country that starts with UNITED. There are only 3 countries that starts with UNITED. So we have to think of something much more zanier than just a "country".
The next slot is the QUOTE.... ;p random quotes..

Warnier Brothers
I finally got to watch snakes on a plane yesterday. The first scenes were a bit dragging(for me), maybe because I can't wait to see the "snakes" on action, and how they would handle 500 snakes and they have nowhere to go, because they were flying on air.
**SPOILERS**
I was even delighted when i saw a cat at the "baggage" area, and said to myself "Yay, great! A cat can fight off at least one of the snakes, and would help"
When the snakes were released (it wasn't an accident, it was planned that way), we screamed(we just want too, that's part of the reason why we wanted to watch it), guess what it attacked first? ****the CAT!***** I was like... a cat? A cat usually wins over the snake. That's not right. But the snake was kinda too BIG for the cat anyway.
The first two scenes where the snakes gets to attack on people, is the part i detest the most. Whoever made this is a pervert. LOL. I mean, of all the places to bite, why those uhmm private areas? The first one was a couple making out at the bathroom, and you can guess that they would be the first casualty. It was quite obvious. I thought they would just make out, but it was more than that. LOL. And then came the snake.. ewww... it bit the.. i dont wanna say it. What were the makers thinking? Anyway the couple died.
The next one was a guy who peed.. and you can guess again where it would bite! Another private part. It really was crazy. If there would be more of this, i've had enough! Turns out, that was the only 'crazy' part. Maybe to bring humor for all those 'green' people, but it really wasn't humorous for me. (but of course the movie is not for me! hehe)
The snakes there were 'smart', one snake cut off some wirings that would later on make the airplane go gaga. And the snakes were acting unusual, snakes usually dont attack people, if they dont get oppressed.
So, i began thinking the movie wasn't for real. This was all pure "made-up", and that this cannot be possible because there are no snakes alive in the world.. that would act, the way they acted on that plane. They were acting in frenzy, so it wasnt that realistic.
Then, I learned the snakes were "drugged" and that's why they are all SO HIGH, and it explains most of the unbelievable parts.
One part i found funny was when the dog(the owner of the dog is ala-Paris Hilton) was thrown to the BOA constrictor, just to distract it. And then the girl, hit the man who threw her dog, she was soo furious. And then the man who threw the dog, was then crushed by the BOA. Maybe, the snake wasn't satisfied when it was given the dog.
The snake could be thinking like this. "I dont want a dog, I want something bigger than that, like you!"
All in all it is an entertaining movie. Not good for young uns though, because of those supposed-to-be-censored part. Some of the parts were predictable though.

When i was making my report last friday, my classmates fired me some korny question.
Me: A warnier orr is a -
Jesel: Is that what we call, warnier old? (supposed to be one year old)
Avy: NO! that's <> A warnier is a child < /sing >
Me: Err.. it's Warnier brothers
It turned out the reporter was even kornier than the rest of them. LOL.

Parsifal Mosaic
All my movie/book reviews are in Multiply and Friendster, but this book is just so.. uhm great. And great is an "abused" word coming from me, specially if the book was written by none other than the great "robert ludlum". And to say great would be an "understatement". Cause he is more than that.
This book was a gift from my 18th birthday by JV. Thank you JV!

At first the book was kind of confusing. Usually when i read a "ludlum" novel, i'd be excited from the very beginning and be psyched about what's going to happen. But this book is different, the first part was confusing. Maybe, because the story was about "lies", and the truth should be hidden, and to seek for it in this book, was kinda "difficult". (of course you can always skip a lot of part and get to the whole thing straight at the back end, where the answers lie...but you would be missing on all of the action and the thrill) And the title really fitted the content of the book itself. The "lie" was so deep, that it was covered with different lies.. and thus it was called a "mosaic". A mosaic of lies. It really was a "massive mosaic of treachery".
This was the first time that i finished a book for so long, that it took months. Because i was doing a lot of "first things first" and this book is the least of my priority these days... and since my internet keeps going on and off.. well it gave me more time to finish this book.
This book was also.. the first book, that i hit on the mastermind... right. I know who did this and that before it was really uncovered by the book in detail. I hit on 4 of the different people who were involved in the massive treachery. And was right for my "not-liking-one-character" there, because he was one of the real insane evil. Maybe, because i have tried to understand each character that i can suddenly feel whether they would do that thing or not.
One of the lesson was from the legend of "Icarus". Flying or soaring too high and then be blinded by the sun.. and then falling on the ground because .. your wings..... wasn't made for that. Parsifal(Zelinsky) made a man "fly and soar" high because of his "wits" people began to idolize him... they all praised his words... his intellects. He was all THAT, and to think he wasnt even the president of the U.S. of A. But Parsifal drove him far too much.. made him fly higher causing him to make decisions...that blinded him from reality.. that could prolly annihilate the whole world... and then the man.. (anthony m) who was idolized by many from different parts of the globe.. suddenly broke down... too much wit and too much thinking made him INSANE.
Yes, the fact that would astound a lot. Imagine, the one person you thought could bring answers to every problem in the world... suddenly broke down and is CRAZY. For all the things he has to think and bring about the solution of the world.... he suddenly cannot take the pressure. But of course... the fact that he was crazy was concealed to the whole world.. until the man(Michael H.) can bring the answers.. the truth out of all those intrinsic lies.. that started at Shenandoah.
It started there... and it also ended there. *sigh* Such a shame that Parsifal had to die.. and also Matthias.. and also Emory Bradford.. and also countless of characters.. that helped them find the truth(and ive grown attached to them). This is the 2nd Ludlum book that made me cry. Boohoo.
And to the VKR.. whose purpose was to the good of their people.. but the ways they try to justify the purpose.. would not.. excuse them.
How amazing that there could be people like that.. and it is true. Yes, their purpose are sane.. the fight for "justice". But the way they do it.... terrorize.. kill... treachery.. lies.. betray.. would not justify for what they are trying to fight for. And they would never win... the law of nature says so.. they might have the advantage.. but they would never rule...
An argument from the book that i find quite "funny".
The "black" that Michael was referring to means he was an "engineer, a manipulator, a man in sanction, with the authority to bring about the events in which people might get killed, usually ARE killed because it needs to be done." while the "black" that Randolph was referring to was his "color".
More about Parsifal Mosaic would be in my Multiply and Friendster.

Michael: I don't have to!! Try to understand, Doctor. A black-operation officer like MacKenzie....
Dr. Randolph: A what?! Mac was WHITE!
