Another Home

i have chosen to have a new abode.....

isisliberty.wordpress.com the new Enchanted Life.... :)

should you want to link it up. please do. i'm creating a new blog roll over there. just say your intention here and ill place your link. :)

and i made a very crazy mistake by importing my blogs over there. (i'll have to delete most of them one by one). I am so attached to this blog that it's a bit "hard" for me to let go.... that I brought all my baggages over the space. so much for "something new".

i'd still post updates here... more on "for the world" events or "davao" events that would be needing your support... and maybe some updates about what is really happening to our world... (as if I know a lot huh?)

Save Mother Earth

As much as I wanted to attend the seminars as stated in my last post Expos, I can't.

For one, the Cyber Expo was cancelled and moved according to my sources.

Also, I did not expect so many people would attend the said food expo, but of course with all the banners they've had strewn almost all over the city, everyone's bound to know. The seminar was jam packed and you'd be left standing outside and even inside a few were standing, so I decided not to go in and give others chance. I went with my mom and enjoyed the food tasting part and of course getting flyers and brochures from them. Most of the expos covered a lot about food packaging and their machineries which were quite expensive,and requires a big-time business.

Fortunately, there was a Directory of Food-Related business or whatsover and a summary of all the seminars which I guess would be enough na lang to get much-needed info's we need for Php100.00. At least.

I also found out that the next event would be the 7th Recycables Fair or something. I don't have the flyer with me today. Anyway, it's a gathering of all those companies who recycles and all those people who does have a collection of recyclables which they can sell outside SM (car park) this June 30. Newspaper, bottles, magazines can be sold per kilo. You earn money and at the same time you get to help the environment. Now, that's something! :)

SM also has this "green bag" scheme almost the same as Culture Shiok's post "the Bring your own Bag Day" that was done by Singapore. Buying yellow tag from the supermarket and reaching 500php or more will let you earn a green bag, which you can use as an alternative instead of the usual cellophane and if you use them when you go to the supermarket you earn additional points to your Advantage Card. Dual purpose again. :P Nice idea noh?

It's been a week, I haven't reported in college. Hehe. I'm busy "kuno" with my OJT. But, really... I AM! Details, some othr time. hehe.rawr.

Convictions

Why do I blog?

I first encountered "blogging" when I was browsing MySpace and they have this new feature. 1.} I was thinking of trying it out and have my online journal. I was 16 back then, ignorant and pretty much engrossed with IRC-ing. I was basically, in front of the PC most of the time, because I assist in my parent's Service Center.

My first post was March 6, 2004. I only succeeded in having 5 posts, because after my posts we(me and the firstborns with their family) were "shipped" to Cebu for a wedding and our "going back to Davao" was pretty much endangered because we were encouraged to stay for a month or so at what we called the "Mission House". So, we lived with our spiritual family for a month with no internet connection. I think I only got to online once for that month and that was to stay online in IRC and check Friendster. Blogging in myspace was long forgotten.

Then, I was invited by Avy here at Blogger and started my own blog April 19, 2005. * 1st post *. I only managed to post one entry and then I forgot everything about it for a year, since I'm pretty much consumed with IRC and all my focus went there.

May 9, 2005, I also opened another blog in Friendster when they added a "blog" along with the "photo album". It became my-not-so-regular-blog, since blogging did not infect my system yet.

One time early 2006, I was browsing the internet and chanced upon blogs with cute layouts. So, I decided to revive my blog to 2.) learn how to make those fancy layouts. I decided to update my blog(May 2006), and then posted a Did you know? segment. From then on, I started getting hooked to blogging and each day my "addiction" to blogging grows. First few months of blogging 3.) was to chronicle what happened during the day and an 4.) outlet of my emotions . Check out the example of my chronicles complete with date and time.

But, as days progress and as I read different blogs... my reasons for blogging changes. Just like life, you meet different people and then meeting someone who inspired you.... you suddenly wanna be like that person but of course with a personal twist and ingredients that reflects YOU... and makes a UNIQUE you.

5.) I wanted to share a part of me, my experiences, and what I learned in life and of course to learn something from you bloggers, through your posts as well.

I have observed your posts and through it, I have come to understand you as YOU.

As my blogging experience progress, like Ate Dessie I have come to be much more sensitive to other people who reads my blog as well. Careful, not to offend and at the same time take it all out without REPRESSING my opinion. If I have offended some of your beliefs in some of my posts..... pardon me because I never meant it to be that way. I understand we all have different views, and these are my views... I'm just sharing them... and of course some of my views might change as I seek wisdom through knowledge and experiencing it.

Somehow, some of my posts may seem informative.. I don't want to be a person who gives the impression of knowing-it-all, because I don't. There are things, I wanna know... I wanna remember too.... and that's one of my quest in life.

Don't believe anything I write in this blog unless it RESONATES WITH YOUR SOUL.

6. )I am not here to impose anything to you.... but I am here to share... and relate... because for me that's part of life.

I think it is quite important to know what our blog convictions are just like knowing our purpose in life. To know one's purpose is to know one's direction, and of course it gives greater meaning to your blog. It is not JUST ANOTHER BLOG but one with A PURPOSE.

My Blog Conviction: I want to share my experiences to fellow bloggers who might get a thing or two about loving life and living in abundance.

Patience my dear

I am being patient about the whole sluggish-internet-i-can't-comment-sometimes-cannot-log-in-after-48-years-thing.

Really. I am patient. I did not bug PLDT about it because I know those call center agents would not know about the recent progress of those underwater people trying to fix the cables dba?

As far as I know, the Internet companies or any company affected by this thing is trying hard to fix the problem. What company would not want to fix this kind of problem anyway, specially if it would affect their sales and the people who patronizes them ?

Soooooo.. patience guys.. patience. (Actually, I'm trying to calm myself down. I've been doing stuffs for my mom sending countless of emails and scanned documents for the whole day and because of the sluggish-net... it went on and on and on and on....)

So to all ye blogger friends, If I did not comment on yerrr blogs... it means I cannot browse thy comment pageeee... beeeecausseee.... of the sluggish net..oh wait we've been over this haven't we?

Anyway, I have taken on a new project. I'm transferring all my REVIEWS from multiply to another BLOGGER hosted blog. My reviews of the books, movies, food, restaurants and anything that needs my opinion will be there. Some of the reviews are not so well.. since I just have to recall most of the books and movies I've placed there. But, the recent ones would be well "reviewed". Nyahaha. But, it's not yet completed. Wala lang dagdag trabaho.

Marathons and a Dash

I wanted to post yesterday, but I wasn't able to log-in. Don't know why. Either my internet is having a hard time connecting to blogger thus resulting to a timeout during the process or there's just something wrong. Whatever. Schmever. All i know... I'm posting now.

Oh and by the way.. I just switched to the new blogger.

Almost everybody's been having a "movie marathon", and I for one would want to do it myself. I only got to watch only one movie, hardly a marathon at all. But, as the days progress.. I found myself reading the books I haven't read yet. I think in just one week I finished 4 books. Not bad at all... considering I've been in and out of the house twice this week. So nice.

I'm planning to have the movie marathon by 31. Weee. Hope I'd fulfill it.

I've been playing Diner Dash 3: Flo on the Go(courtesy of Dwinny) for days now... and I'm on Level 45. But, I'm stuck.. at Level 45.. there's an invisible customer. I've been searching the net about this glitch.. and I've done what they told me to do... but to no avail. *Gah* Anyone out there who can help me? =)

Is my internet speed by any chance connected to the recent earthquake in Taiwan? Haha. Just a thought. I just got the message from Globe saying there would be delayed messages.. and those browsing blah blah... because of what happened in Taiwan.

Anyway,HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! :)

Opening!

Ive been hearing about a lot of Pinoy achievements lately, and i want to post them here. But it would be too lengthy and all that. So i decided to make a different blog, when it comes to "pinoy's".

The idea struck me, when i attended some seminar in Grand Men Seng Hotel last Saturday about a certain Pinoy product, and in the end of his "SONA-like presentation" he commended all the PINOY's who won this and that. Which gave me a lot of ideas about what to blog about that day, but come to think of it... my blog post would be too long. Considering my constricted page, because i added a lot of stuffs in here to"entertain" you. uhmm Did it? Hehe

So, i began thinking about what to name the subdomain of the blog. The "Sikat ang pinoy" phrase suddenly popped in my mind. So i said to myself, if the subdomain name of "sikatangpinoy.blogspot.com" is not taken, it is meant to be MINE! (bwahaha). And sure enough, when i got home that day...... tada! It wasnt taken.

I registered it, made the layout today... and i finished it. That's me, if i want to do something... right away.. i make it RIGHT AWAY!

Hail hail to my new skin!

Ok i think something is wrong with BLOGGER.com today. I guess their server is lagging. Oh well.

This is the first BLOG SKIN ive ever made. I started and finished this 2(june25) days ago. And i think (IMO) that this is a good skin for a first timer. -_-

It was also my first time to make real "use" of photoshop 7.

And today, i finished my sister's blogskin. She was bugging me about it. So take a look at it, I might as well plug her own "Spot"

My mom also bought me a new pair of shoes from CELINE 3 days ago. They were on sale.. so dont blame me. -_-

And i personally think, it is a good buy. It is always a good buy if something is ON SALE.

One of the reasons, i am also exuberant today is because i finally have the ringtone direct to my phone... from 24 series. Haha, it is soo cute (for me that is).

It is really true... when you imagine it.. it happens.. amazing
