Tang Jumpstarts a Refreshing Ramadan

Yesterday, was the start of a month-long period of fasting for the Islamic community - the Ramadan. And it was quite fitting that Kraft Foods Philippines (KFP), the second largest food and beverage company in the world, held a press conference yesterday(August 11, 2010) at Davao City(Mindanao), offering a gift to our Muslim brothers and sisters for having "Tang" certified by the Philippine IDCP (Islamic Da'wah Council of the Philippines) Halal. Tang is already certified in the region by the Central Islamic Committee of Thailand back in 2006.

"Making today delicious for everyone is a global mandate for Kraft Foods and we intend to enliven this through this initiative. It's part of our commitment to engage our brothers and sisters in Mindanao, particularly those who will be observing Ramadan, by being supportive of cultural practices and beliefs," says Cynthia D. Icasas, Category Manager for Kraft Foods Philippines. It wasn't their first to support the community here in Mindanao, but they already had 2 previous community outreach programs that they spearheaded.

Tang is currently the leading powdered beverage in the world and available in more than 30 countries. "It has always been Tang's proposition to get kids to drink more water, by making water more exciting for everyone in the country," says Doroty Arroyo, Senior Brand Manager for Tang. "So we really pushed and worked towards getting Tang, Philippine Halal-certified as a way of showing our commitment, anchored on fulfilling Kraft's promise of making every day delicious for everyone."

Cheers to Kraft Foods Philippines, making every day delicious!

*is drinking a glass of Tang Orange Juice.*

*Attended the press conference of Kraft Foods / Tang with the bloggers from Davao. (: With us was Doroty Arroyo (Senior Brand Manager for Tang), Cynthia D. Icasas (Category Manager for Kraft Foods Philippines) and Atty. Abdul Rahman Linzag (President/CEO of Islamic Da’wah Council of the Philippines).

A Circle

Before I tell you about the second part of our April Tour..

I'll post this tag first:

This was a tag from my good friend Ate Mari

*Circle of Friends*

Anger is only one letter short of danger
If someone betrays you once, it is his fault;
If he betrays you twice, it is your fault.
Great minds discuss ideas;
Average minds discuss events;
Small minds discuss people.
He, who loses money, loses much;
He, who loses a friend, loses much more;
He, who loses faith, loses all.
Beautiful young people are accidents of nature,
But beautiful old people are works of art.
Learn from the mistakes of others
You can’t live long enough to make them all yourself.
Friends, you and me…
You brought another friend…
And then there were 3…
We started our group…
Our circle of friends…
And like that circle…
There is no beginning or end…
Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is mystery.
Today is a gift.

So now, let’s see how many circle of friends we can make by simply adding your link on this Friendship Meme!

Updates:

1. This post is actually a break from the "Interdependence Game" I've been posting these past few days. I am considering in transferring those to another blog I made for our office.
2. I joined CandyMag Awards 2008. Hehe. I'll be nominating some bloggers out there. So, watch out! Haha.
3. Our family got around to participate with the "Earth Hour". It's one good way to make a difference. It's fun and amusing to know some people from other parts of the world doing it.

Have a nice weekend ahead!

Perflect Blend

and no it's not just coffee that makes a perfect blend... but people with different personalities would.

and so I'm thanking Weng for this cute award...

and I'm also handing this award to Bryan, Ate Nona and Ate Sash

who, in their own way blended perfectly with the rest of the bloggers with their "friendly" nature - and I'm one of them!

Dance of Life

Hello everyone!

I'm creating a new hang-out as of the moment.

When I say new hang-out it means a new blog.

I'm not leaving this precious blog of mine, although most of the updates will go to the new blog from now on.

You'll be seeing your awards, tags, article tips and some stuff here though.

and without further ado... you can now visit my new blog "Dance of Life" courtesy of Dwinny of Aidwebhost.com. Thank you so much!

Happy New Year Everyone!

I would like to thank everyone who "decided" to be with me for the past few years. Thank you for sharing a part of you to ME and that includes each and everyone of you - reader or not, offline or online.

This year...

I choose to stop and smell the coffee..
I choose to step out and feel the sunshine...
I choose to celebrate MOMENTS....
I choose to celebrate LIFE...

I choose to find time to DREAM more...
I choose to DEDICATE every moment for my Purpose.
I choose to respond and not to react to any circumstance....
I choose to LIVE LARGE and WORRY SMALL.

I choose to give myself a break....
I choose to celebrate JOY and PEACE....
I choose to build my own rainbow....
I choose to adorn my life with LAUGHTER...

I choose to believe in MIRACLES and even to MAKE THEM HAPPEN....

This year..... I Choose to CELEBRATE ME!

They're supposed to be "I WILL" but it is sooo FUTURE TENSE. I want to do them NOW!

but then... those choices are a step-by-step process.. but right now I am feeling them..even if it's not around. :)

Once again... thank you for sharing me your journey, and for taking time to let me share to you MINE =)

Have a magical new year! :)

Pahabol:

Thank you to Pretty Life Online for regarding my blog as a TREASURE. (what a way to start a new year and my first post in 08).

Each and everyone of YOU is a TREASURE in your own special way but I'd like to give this "You are a Treasure" award to 8 blogs for the year 2008 as a good start:

They are all a TREASURE in their blogs and in REAL LIFE. (eventhough I haven't met most of them pa.)

to the 8 Treasures....

Arianne, Sis Ychel, Bam, Ate Mari, Fruity Oaty, Kuya Angelo, Quincy, and Donya Quixote.

Continue to live life from the INSIDE OUT because that's where the REAL TREASURE can be found.

Tis the Season

This month climbed so fast. As soon as it arrived it would soon disappear and we would greet a whole NEW YEAR.

Time flies so fast. Is it just me or what?

Einstein has this "Theory of Relativity" where time moves according to what you are doing.

I learned so many things this year. I'd probably recount it by the last day of this year like what I did with last year's firsts.

I have so many things I want to do right now:

• clean my room (yes. AGAIN. it clutters up right after I clean it)
• redesign my planner for next year.
• print all the photos of this year. They are piling up already. I need to place it on my journal and my desire notebook.
• start my "SCRAP BOOK".
• read more books. my to-reads are piling up.
• watch my must-see-movies. Hehe. at least let me have the luxury sometimes.

I finally saw Mayor Rodrigo Duterte at work. I heard his "words" which he is famous with live last week.

I have so many tags in my draft I'd do two or more this time.

This one from Dimaks:

This tag requires the following steps:

1. Go to Wikipedia and type in your birthday (month and day).
2. Write down three events, 2 births, 1 holiday and tag 5 friends.
3. There are five slots in the Birthday Meme. As you are tagged, you have to remove the name in the first slot and bump everyone up so that your name can be added to the bottom.

February 13

3 events:

• 1503 - Disfida di Barletta - Famous challenge between 13 Italian and 13 French knights near Barletta.
• 1881 - The feminist newspaper La Citoyenne is first published in Paris by activist Hubertine Auclert.

• 2004 - The Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics discovers the universe's largest known diamond, white dwarf star BPM 37093.

2 births:

• 1944 - Jerry Springer, American television host
• 1974 - Robbie Williams, English singer. I just watched one movie that starred him -> What Dreams May Come - Review

1 holiday (liturgical feast):

• Saint Beatrice

The list:

• Gran’s Memory Keeping Corner
• Teacher Julie
• Mommyness is Happiness
• Ctrl + Alt + Delete
• Life is Abundant

There were a lot of events during Feb.13 the challenge was to choose just (3) three. So, I chose what seemed appealing to me. Knights always rings a bell to me and so I decided to place that event here. I salute "feminine energy" as a balance to "masculine energy", so I included that feminist newspaper. I am fascinated with diamonds (just fascinated) and it's also just recent.

The only two familiar names in the birth list. Hehe.

Tina of Life is Abundant - For being present almost daily in 2 of my blogs and leaving comments and inspiring quotes everytime. You’d be amazed at the time she spends visiting all the blogs in her blogroll. And she has a long list! She’d greet you daily even on those times you cannot reciprocate the act. And even if I haven’t seen her in person yet, I know she has a ready smile for everyone. You can feel it in the way she writes.

Viral Icons

Got this from Culture Shiok and from other Blogs as well.. Hehe. Might as well try it. Since the Viral tags worked.
—Copy and paste the VIRAL-ICONS and instructions below this line—

Instructions:

Important Update - Please read here!

1.) Copy and paste the matrix of “Viral Icons” below courtesy of Ilker Yoldas from The Thinking Blog. (to support Ilker’s quest of launching his own Internet Startup with a student budget, please consider subscribing to the Full RSS Feed and enjoy interesting posts in the meantime. "Knowledge grows when shared!").

2.) Upload your non-animated favicon (GIF image of size 16x16 pixels) to ImageShack, a similar free image hosting server or to your own server provided by your hosting service if you have one.

3.) Substitute the Host Icon and one of the “Viral Icons” in the matrix with your ALT text of choice and your blog’s URL. Maximum of 3 specific keywords for the ALT text are best for it to be effective.

Here is an example:

4.) When you get a ping back from someone that has your icon in one of their “Viral Icons”, practice good karma by copying his/her Host Icon’s code (automatically the associated ALT tag will also be copied) and paste it over one of your “Viral Icons” below.

5.) Invite your readers to do the same and soon this can grow virally.

Host Icon:

VIRAL-ICONS

Rules: No Porn Sites, Only 1 icon per person (i.e. don't hog the ViralIcons!), and please don't tamper with other people's ALT tags, URLs or favicons.

Important: Once I get a ping back from you (I promise to do the best I can), I will add your favicon and the associated code you designate as “Host Icon” here, replacing one of the “Viral Icons” from the matrix above. Feel free to drop a comment here with your blog URL, ALT tags and favicon URL (we don't mind if it is the same all over the blogosphere).

Optional: Display the “Viral Icons” badge on your sidebar and promote your blog. As more and more bloggers copy and paste the “Viral Icons” from the matrix above, the more backlinks you will have with your ALT text, and in turn the more promotion your blog with get. The sooner you participate, the more link love you will receive!
